Getting older is an age old (Lol) subject of jokes.
It’s one of those topics that generate a lot of discussion and the inevitable cracks make their way to the discussion. It sucks to be the oldest person in the group.
You will find hundreds and hundreds of jokes ranging from mobility, eyesight, teeth, and perhaps everyone’s favorite. Memory.
Now the ladies below are having the same discussion and I get the feeling that most of you can relate. But not with the third lady I hope.
Three sisters were discussing the travails of getting older.
One said,
“Sometimes I catch myself with a jar of mayonnaise in my hand, while standing in front of the refrigerator, and I can’t remember whether I need to put it away, or start making a sandwich.”
The second lady chimed in with,
“Yes, sometimes I find myself on the landing of the stairs and can’t remember whether I was on my way up or on my way down.”
The third one responded,
“Well, ladies, I’m glad I don’t have that problem. Knock on wood,” as she rapped her knuckles on the table, and then said, “That must be the door, I’ll get it!”
Even I lost it!
To be fair, we’ve all had our moments. I’ve gone up the stairs to go get my phone’s charger but completely forgot when I entered the room. Some forget their keys, the bills, and even their kids!
Blame stress. It happens!
Age is a different matter though. However, people rarely forget when it comes to their hobbies and the people they love. It’s the important things that occupy our minds.

Or when the temperature changes and your knees react…. Is that just me?

So that’s why most people don’t bother with cakes anymore.
That’s a shame. But really, getting older can be pretty cool. What it is is you collecting experiences and moments. And with those comes wisdom. You live, you learn suddenly makes more sense!
