What does a single dad do when he’s let go from his job as a finance director to a major hotel thanks to COVID-19?
I’m sure there are a lot of right answers to this, but dad Michael Gardner decided to use some of his newly acquired spare time to bond with his 9-year-old daughter Ava. And his method? One that would save him some money, and make her happy.
He started sewing her a new wardrobe.
Here are 50 examples of dad’s handywork.
1. Bright as a rainbow
So bright. So full of joy. This is a dress daddy made for a father/daughter dance.
2. The wild side
Those boots are so cute. I love how she adds that/color to her outfit.
3. Just chillin’
I like how her outfits seem to have something extra. Like the unicorn on her jacket.
4. Zoom time
He’s raising awareness. Showing the world that there are fathers—many fathers– who are willing to step up.

What do you think? Is there any doubt in your mind that she is daddy’s girl?
7. Present father
That’s what their shirts say. That he is a present father. No question.

This is a flashback to one of the first daddy daughter outfits he made. So cute.

I love her bright extensions. They certainly add some pop to her outfit.

15. The Clash
Okay, does she pull it off? Maybe it’s just me, but I would never put those two fabrics together.
16. Dr. Suess
Why did Dr. Seuss just pop into my mind? I think it’s got something to do with the green polka dots. Was that the Cat in the Hat?
17. In the pink!
She looks awesome in that pink. And I love the casual/dressy combination of a hoodie with the skirt.
18. Put on a happy face.
their tie-dye shirts remind me of the sun. Regardless, they are full of joy and happiness, and thrilled to be together.
19. Daddy’s little girl.
Even though he started his sewing venture to develop a bond with her, I’d say it’s clear that bond was already in place before hand.

everything she feels for her dad is expressed right there. And he has certainly earned it.
21. And here’s another one.
