Even in the darkest of times, a light can peek through and shine brightly for all to see. Being cooped up for months on end due to the coronavirus has taken its toll on many people.

But one aspiring artist knew just how to lift the spirits of her little brother during such a depressing time. Macaire Everett and Camden grabbed the sidewalk chalk and big sis began to create masterpieces.

Some pieces spend hours. Others she whips up quickly when there’s a forecast of rain.

Dad Matt Everett praised the pictures his daughter has created. They aren’t just cheering up Camden, but also brightening people’s day who follow them on social media.

The sweetest part is how Macaire crafts each piece to cleverly include Camden as a sort of prop. They both take turns brainstorming the day’s artwork.

“A lot of it comes from things we want to do and places we want to go after this is all over so surfing is something Cam has always wanted to try when we go on spring break.”

The neighbors love this brother-sister project so much that they’ve even given them more chalk.

“We were running out of chalk one time and we hadn’t gotten a new order of it and they were like here have some of ours it’s really cool everybody is helping out it’s what this time is about.”

Check out some of their incredible images in the slides that follow.
