NASA has created technology that can take pictures of the sun through a UV lens called “Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO, and NASA’s Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory, or STEREO.” They were able to take photographs of the sun as energy from the sun was erupting and creating “puffs” into space. WOW!

13. Split Lobster
One out of every 50 million lobsters create, what is known as, a “split lobster.” The brown half of the lobster is male, while the blue half is female! It is not only the coloring that is unique about this lobster. The technical term for this is gynandromorphy.
14. See Through Shell
This snail’s shell almost looks metallic, like it was painted! When you look more closely, one can see it is actually see-through. This snail lets everyone see what a snail looks like underneath his shell, which is so rare!

In December of 2000, a NASA spacecraft was able to get images of Jupiter’s south pole.

A baby boy, born in Tokyo, was able to be released from the hospital while only weighing 268 Grams, or 9.45 ounces! This baby boy is the smallest child to have ever been born and survive. What a miracle!

The rocks on Lake Baikal look like they are being held above the water, which is so amazing! In reality there is more to it than that.
The rocks” get heated from the sunlight every now and then and melt the ice beneath. After the sun is gone, the ice turns solid again thus creating a small stand for the rock above. It is called the Baikal Dzen.”

A whale’s skeleton vertebrae was found underwater near Kongsfjorden, Norway. The size of that vertebrae is so impressive, it is hard to imagine the size of the whale it belonged to!
