Does anyone remember prayer time in preschool? It seemed like an everyday part of school at the time, but to teachers and parents, it must have looked adorable.
If you want an adorable reminder of your own preschool prayer days, this video is everything you could want and more.
It features a 3-year-old little boy from Missouri, who went viral when he led his class’s prayer before lunch.

Makhi Martin, the super-sweet kiddo in question, can be seen standing up next to his table, dressed in a red polo and black pants, reciting a prayer that he must have heard enough times to know off-by-heart.
He makes his way through each line, with his teachers and classmates echoing his words back to him.

The prayer sounds like this:
“Father God, we thank you for this food. We ask you to bless it, make it nourishment to our bodies. Bless all the boys and girls all over the world to receive food in Jesus’ name. Amen”
Just look at the concentration on his face!

Perhaps the cutest thing about little Makhi’s prayer leading is that he still has that adorable toddler lisp, so it’s pretty hard to hear what he’s trying to say at some points.
But the class has clearly recited this prayer multiple times, as there’s no confusion about which line comes next. It probably helps that the teachers are leading the response!

The video was posted by Makhi’s proud mom, Ranisha Martin, on Facebook.
All parents think their children are the cutest – it’s a bias thing. But in this case, the whole world agreed with Ranisha that her little boy’s prayer leading was something too cute not to like, comment on, and share.
In the video’s caption, Ranisha wrote:
“You getting so big now and you making me so proud π I really do adore this kid ! It donβt get no better than this π₯° #MakhiTakes3 π¦βοΈπ€π½π₯³”

The response to the video was so overwhelming that within a matter of days, little Makhi, who attends Transformation Christian School in St. Louis, had made it onto national television.
The video was shared everywhere, and Mahki became a viral sensation – simply for being cute!
On Ranisha’s original Facebook video, one person commented:
“Guarentee [sic] future Pastor. This just warms my heart. Teach them from a childπππ½ππ½”

While someone else added:
“That is wonderful and touching. The values starts early. Amen”
The little lad was even a guest star on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” with his mom and dad. Let’s hope the fame doesn’t go to his head!
With nearly 100k shares, mom Ranisha probably never expected the video she’d posted for friends and family viewing to take off as it did.

But it’s easy to see why this heart-melting clip has touched so many strangers.
Even if you don’t consider yourself religious, you can’t deny that a room full of toddlers giving their thanks to God is nothing short of adorable.

Prayer can be carried out in whatever form suits the individual. It’s simply about showing gratitude and asking for a higher force – whatever that force may be – to look out for the people you love.
If you need cheering up or you just love cute things, this video is a must-watch.
