Being pregnant isn’t easy. And when you have to work while carrying a baby inside you, it becomes twice as hard.
Brenna Turner is six months pregnant.
Despite her condition, she continues to work. It wasn’t easy at first since she was always sick in the early part of her pregnancy. However, her body learned to adjust.
She works at UNCG Millenium Salon and Nails.
There wasn’t anything unusual about her work. She takes on clients after clients even if she feels hungry and tired sometimes.
One day, she met someone who made a huge impact on her life.
When Brenna was asked to take on another client that day, she thought it was just a typical workday. As she was talking to her client, they touched topics that were really deep. They talked about God and life. They even shared about what they’ve been through.
At the end of her shift, Brenna was surprised to receive a special gift from the client.
In an interview with WXII 12, she shared:
“She ended up tipping me $1,000 just from that one $33 service.”
Apart from the money, she also received a note. It said:
“Love Bre and want her to have many treasures she wants including $1,000.”
Breanna appreciates the person’s kindness.
It’s not every day that one gets to receive a generous tip. Plus, they were total strangers to each other.
“I would try to give some of it back to her. I pray for her all the time now. Like, she didn’t have to do it. And her service, I do do great pedicures, but $1,000, that was a lot,” Breanna shared.
Why did the woman do it?
First of all, Breanna was a stranger. They weren’t related or friends in the first place. Despite that, the woman still gave her the money. And the reason? It was God.
Breanna shared:
“I was just really shocked because she was truly God-sent. God knew what I needed. She was the sweetest lady ever. She said God told her to do it for me.”
She was taught a very valuable lesson as well.
Breanna recalled:
“She just poured into my life and spoke to me and told me not to give up and stuff like that, which is what I needed at the time.”
The pregnant employee has plans for the money.
She’s planning on using the money to prepare for the birth of her baby, like buying a crib. She also plans on using the money to pay for her car payment and set aside some of it as savings.
On top of that, Breanna feels encouraged to pay it forward.
She shared:
“It makes me want to keep going and keep making people happy. I love making people happy. Because I could brighten her day, she brightened mine, and I’m just grateful.”
She also plans on tracking the stranger to properly thank her for what she’s done and for just being kind.
