There are people all over who are down on their luck and could really use a helping hand.
Sometimes when we see someone in need on the street, we ignore them. Sometimes we volunteer and help them out with a few bucks. Or sometimes we help them in different ways, like giving them extra food or clothing.
One woman, in particular, shared an act of kindness that is extremely touching – and it all started with a gallon of milk.
Ariane Nelson explained what happened in a Facebook post:
“This young man approached me and asked me to buy him a gallon of milk,” she shared. “My first thought was to say no but as I was paying for my gas I grabbed the milk.”
This lady could have stopped after that, yet she continued with more greatness.
“Outside was his girlfriend holding a box of cereal. He thanked me and I started to walk to my car. Something in me made me turn around. I told them I was about to get a car wash but if he wanted to wash it for me I’d pay him $20. We went to the nearest car wash and he had tears in his eyes after I paid him!”
Ariane continued:
“He told me that more than anything he appreciated me giving him the opportunity to be a man again in the eyes of his girlfriend and work for the money,” she continued. “The whole time his girlfriend helped him. It’s like she was proud of him. You could tell the love was so real. Real beyond material things and what he could do for her.”
Not only is it amazing that this woman helped the man, but it was also amazing for him to have such a supportive girlfriend.
Many people today are so obsessed with material things and gifts, but this man’s girlfriend showed true signs of love, regardless of their situation.
“She told him he did a great job and he couldn’t stop smiling. I had a long talk with him and her and he had a backpack full of paperwork from all of the places he’s been going to get help for them.”
Her kindness didn’t stop there.
“I drove them to my apartment complex and gave him clothes for interviews and a few outfits and fitted caps. I don’t have much but life is about sharing what you do have.”
“Be a blessing to someone today because you could be in that situation before you know it! I gave them my number and I plan to take them to any interviews or appointments they have. It’s a great day to be alive no matter what your situation is. Someone has it worse than you! Share this message and inspire others to do good.”
The world can be a cruel place, yet there are still a ton of amazing people out there, committing acts of kindness.
Like when online comedian Carlos Davis and his brother found a woman paying for her petrol in pennies at a gas station.
They stepped in to help her with her expenses, which naturally made her day.
They didn’t, however, realize just how much of an effect this action would have on the woman, who was suffering from emotional turmoil.
The lady revealed her husband had passed away only a week before. “We’ve got to stick together,” the comedian responded.
These two stories are not only inspiring, but they really build your soul as well!
