Police departments across the country are always on the lookout for recruits. As a part of this outreach, many recruitment task forces offer a variety of incentives to recruits and perform outreach to the community to find people interested in joining the department.

One way of driving interest in police work is by showing how much fun it can be to become a police officer, such as through the “Git Up Challenge.”

“The Git Up Challenge,” inspired by the song “The Git Up” by singer Blanco Brown, has swept the nation. The challenge requires you to do a variety of dance moves while filming the result. Many people have stepped up to accept “The Git Up Challenge, including hospital workers, ordinary people, and others.

One group in particular which has taken the challenge up is police officers. The officers show off their dance skills through videos online, often with awesome. There doesn’t seem to be any end to the number of police officers who are pretty good dancers.

One police officer in particular, from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in Texas, has shown his skills in a recruitment video which has since gone viral with over 1 million views and 20,000 likes. The video begins with Deputy Estrada standing in front of his vehicle.

Soon, he is dancing to the beat of the song, quickly breaking into the two-step. You can tell the deputy has a lot of rhythm as he displays his smooth dance skills, easily moving from one dance move to the next.

Spinning around, Deputy Estrada follows the son’s directions, giving a spot-on performance of “The Git Up Challenge.”

On YouTube, the video has garnered a variety of comments, with many viewers praising the deputy’s hunky good looks, with one viewer commenting:

“Oh my! He’s so freaking handsome and can dance what a combination and looks sweet in uniform hmmm😍❤❤❤”

Deputy Estrada definitely makes the whole challenge look easy. As the video finishes, Deputy Estrada holds his arms wide in accomplishment before walking off-screen.

Deputy Estrada obviously enjoys his job and working with the community. The video is a testament to his calm demeanor and swagger, and shows just why he was chosen to perform “The Git Up Challenge.”
