Nobody really likes cleaning but, unfortunately, it is a necessary part of life. Dirt and grime is inevitable and cleaning is the only way we can truly get rid of it. It’s a regular occurrence that we must maintain throughout our lives so that it never builds up too much.
That being said, dirt building up is another part of life, which is why deep cleans are a thing. Looking at something that needs a deep clean is understandably daunting, but it’s also just as satisfying when you finally make that gunk disappear.

You would think this bench was naturally green but it wasn’t… Once it was given a proper wash, it was revealed that it was actually a brown wood. Kind of horrifying, if you ask us. Definitely not a bench we want to sit on.
This man’s wife cleaned off all the knobs on their old cabinets in their basement. We know it looks gross but at the same time, why is it so satisfying?
Who knew these stones were this color? At first, they looked like they were all beige… Turns out, when you wipe all the grime of, they’re actually a subtle rainbow!
Just because you’re powerwashing something doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and get creative with it. This person certainly did, as they powerwashed an entire drawing on a dam. We’re definitely impressed.
The fun doesn’t end there! Another person decided to also get creative with their chores when they were cleaning their driveway. Now their driveway shows a beautiful photo of a city skyline!
It’s inevitable that an outdoor track is going to be exposed to all the elements and weather. Rain and mud are bound to do some damage. But man, seeing the fresh track be revealed from all of the dirt is pretty surprising!
This sidewalk had gone years without a proper wash. Finally, after a few power wash sessions and it was brand spankin’ new. Even the dog was finally happy to be hanging out there!
Someone started powerwashing this stoop only to get halfway and realize they were at the wrong house… Well at least that house got some done. Or a free sample. Maybe it will light a fire under their butt and they’ll just go finish it themselves!
Whoever polished off this outdoor space did a dang good job. It went from being a grey, dark, mossy space to bright white. Almost like it just got its teeth brushed — ha!
Who would have thought that the bricks on this building are actually white?! Ah, the satisfying wash of a building never seems to get old.
17. Light stone who?
You would think this floor was meant to be grey stone… That is, until you wipe the grime off and realize it’s light stone. What a huge difference it makes!
While renovating a house, this person scrubbed a ceiling rose clean with a mighty tooth brush. Whatever gets the job done! It’s probably great for getting in between those small crevices.
It seems like this guy cleaned one toilet and then got carried away, put on a suit and decided to clean the whole house. This kind of cleaning can be addicting!
This machine was in need of a very deep clean (as you can see). Thankfully, this employee decided to roll up their sleeves and get it over with. Such a relief to see it taken care of!
This church in Detroit hadn’t been washed for a very long time… Since the late 19th century, to be a little more exact. It’s accumulated so much grime, it needed a whole machine to take care of it.
This man was in a fight with his partner. The two were arguing about whether or not the floor was dirty. So, with time to spare, he cleaned in a checkered board pattern. Kinda gross, kinda cool!
After five whole years, this person finally decided that they’re sick of looking at these gunky floors. So they pulled out their power washer and revealed something pretty magical.
Yeah, a clean deck is good because it looks better. But it’s even more beneficial to have a clean deck so that you don’t wind up slipping on all that dirt. Safety first, always!
It’s crazy to see just how dirty buildings can get after going centuries of no washing. Thankfully, their day finally comes and we can finally see their beauty once again!
34. How?
How did it even get this dirty? We guess with rain and other weather, dirt can build up anywhere.
The upkeep actually takes a lot. People are constantly walking all over the floors at the mall, it’s nonstop traffic. It builds up fast, and no one wants to shop in a dirty space.
Are we sure these are the two same cabins…?! It’s almost impossible to believe. It certainly looks better (and healthier?) to stay in the clean one, though!
Each shoe looks like they belong to a different pair. That’s how much of a difference a proper shoe shine can make. We’d take the shiny one over the dirty one any day!
There is nothing more depressing than dirty children’s toys. The next generation deserves the absolute best! Now that this mat has undergone a major transformation, it’s ready to be played with.
Who needs a real welcome mat when you can stencil one on in the front of your door with dirt? Seems pretty close to the real thing, if we say so ourselves.
This lion statue was an alumni donation to a college and while it was a nice gesture, it got kind of grimy over the years. Nothing a makeover can’t fix though, and now he’s back with all his grace and beauty!
In case you didn’t know, instruments need to be cleaned every now and then as well. This guitar was borderline unplayable at first, but now it’s clean and ready to play some of the most beautiful tunes, we’re sure.
When it’s been so long, you actually have no idea when the last wash was… These people had no clue, but they estimated that it had been 35 years, at the very least.
No big deal or anything. This giant stadium didn’t just suffer through 100 years of grime or anything. It only makes sense with all of those people constantly coming in and out of it!

Railings aren’t typically something you think about cleaning. They’re not right there in the front of your mind. But if you let it go for too long, dirt will accumulate.
We’re not even sure what happened to this patio table, but it’s definitely disgusting. Thank god they cleaned it, as it’s basically unrecognizable now!

Just when you thought the color of the ground was dark green, you realize it’s actually not. You were just staring at dirt and algae the whole time. Ew.
