Sometimes we’re lucky enough to have our cameras/phones at the ready when strange things occur. Just take these 45 people for example – they photographed some very strange coincidences:
It wasn’t this mosquitoes’ lucky day. While shooting darts, this guy made a bullseye. No, not in the center of the board but the bug’s body.
2. Is that what I look like?!
A woman visited a local park to do a little birdwatching. To help her identify the different kinds she saw, she brought along a book. It just so happened a bird landed on the very page describing its species.
As a young boy, this guy went with family members to an airshow. While there, he had the opportunity to sit in the pilot seat of an OH58 Kiowa. Twenty years later as an adult, he enlisted in the military, became a pilot, and now flies this same helicopter.
In this photo, you can clearly see a man kissing a fire dragon. At a Native American fire-breathing performance, this occurred as he blew flames from his mouth. This might be a little creepy yet super cool at the same time.
No matter how people try to repeat this, they’ll never succeed. An individual had a remarkable opportunity to snap a photo of the sun as it began to set while simultaneously, a rainbow appeared. This was the result.
No, we’re not talking about the cop arresting someone. But rather, the fact that he randomly stood beside a bust that mirrored him perfectly. Coincidence? We don’t think so.
After giving birth to three puppies, the owner realized that each one was distinguished by one, two, and three black dots. At least they’ll have an easy time telling the pups apart. Wow…what are the chances of that happening?
As you might know, following directions isn’t always an easy task. But while driving one day, this individual noticed the street sign. Then, they realized it pointed them in the correct direction.
9. Missed it by that much
During horrible storms, it’s common for trees to fall. And unfortunately, they often hit houses and cars. If the owner of this vehicle had parked just a tad differently, the outcome would’ve been very different.
While searching for the famous Northern Lights, a Swedish photographer captured something amazing. Although it wasn’t what he was looking for, he got a great shot of a green meteorite. Talk about a coincidence.
Oh, come on. There’s no way. Yet, it happened. If you look at the image of the mountains on the back of this truck, you’ll notice they’re an identical match to the real mountains ahead.
What did this guy expect? If you’re going to get a vanity plate for your car, please choose something other than this. Maybe one that reads “money” or “success” would be a better option.
Okay, check this out. Not only does this man’s tee shirt and the newspaper have the same number — 33607 — but that’s also his marathon racing number, his finishing time, and his hometown zip code. That’s beyond bizarre.
While fixing eggs for breakfast, this person found the first one had two yolks. But after cracking two more, they did as well. The odds of this occurring are 0.003 percent.
A high schooler checked out a book from the library’s discard box. As she looked over the names of others who’d read the same book, she couldn’t believe it. Both her mom and her grandmother had checked it out while attending the same high school.
With what this man found in a trash can while staying in a hotel in Greece, you’d think so. But that’s not the case. He discovered half of a bank card that shared his name, the expiration date, and the first six numbers of his card…yet his car was in his room and perfectly intact.
A lot of people have tattoos. This woman opted for a dragonfly on her foot. While at the beach with a friend, a real dragonfly landed right by her tattoo, creating a mirrored image.
18. She could go either way
This woman chose an interesting dress to wear. One side is red while the other side is blue. So, as she walked between a red and blue car…which one did she drive away in? We can only guess.
19. Our favorite character
Just about everyone loves “Cookie Monster” from Sesame Street. We don’t know if these two do or not. But what do know is these two are strangers who happened to take seats next to each other while wearing worded shirts.
What are the chances of a woman wearing a printed dress that’s the same as the carpeting in the hotel where she stayed? Thankfully, you can see her arms and legs. If not, she’d be hard to find.
At one time, a man dropped his wallet in a lake while fishing. Move ahead 20 years. While with friends at that same lake, he snatched the wallet, including all its contents, in a fishnet.
Two things. First, this is one lucky fellow. Second, he must use a supersonic lens speed. You see, he captured a bolt of lightning before it had the chance to light up the entire sky.
This is a rarity but while flying on a plane, one individual was able to capture a 360-degree rainbow. We have just one question. Where’s the pot of gold?
One of the great things about smartphones is that you can change the background to whatever you want. This woman selected a beautiful European town. Then as she and her husband drove down the highway, they saw a truck with the same image.

Facebook uses algorithms to try to connect friends. This individual received two “People You May Know” notifications. Although they’re different people, they’re both standing near the Sydney Harbour Bridge with one image perfectly lining up with the bridge in the other one.
This guy’s friend was snapping a photo of him blowing up a balloon. But at the right moment, he caught something else. The balloon popping.
No…these are not members of the bridal party. Instead, they’re six unrelated guests who attended a wedding wearing identical dresses. Fortunately, they got a good laugh out of an otherwise embarrassing situation.
29. The name sounds familiar
Of course, everyone knows who Taylor Swift is. As a pop icon, she’s made a name for herself all over the world. But seeing it on two trucks driving side-by-side is kind of strange.
Snapping a photo of lightning isn’t as easy as you’d think. After a year of trying to capture such a photo, this guy succeeded. But it’s the boat in the image that makes it a great coincidence.
31. So close and yet so far
This person might’ve got the primary number right but check out the others. They’re off by just one across the board. This feels like testing fate.

Do you know what this is? Look closely. It’s a flock of pink flamingoes standing in water in the shape of a large flamingo.
33. Brother from another mother
We’ve all seen photos of Jesus. And most people know someone who looks similar to at least one. But this guy is a spitting image of this particular picture.
Here, you have the “dot” and the “com.” So, what’s the domain name? You have to admit…seeing these two vehicles driving together is kind of funny.
35. Time for a new hairstyle
This guy came across an interesting poster. It represented a man named Samuel Adams who looked a lot like him although the clothing style was from 200 years ago. So, he’s off to the barber.
36. Unique cloud formation
Similar to lightning, it’s not always easy to snap a photo of a cloud at just the right time. Especially when it’s one so awesome as this rare phenomenon. But this individual did what so many others have failed to do.
It seems this young woman is quite amused. After all, it’s not every day that you see three men sitting side-by-side at a bar who look a lot alike. Coincidence or planned?
These men share the same name, William West but they’re not related. Also, they both went to Leavenworth Prison in 1903. Their striking resemblance played a major role in the development of the fingerprint identification system.
This lady has quite a thing for Andrew Scott. But after the real Andrew Scott walked up beside her, this was her reaction. Perhaps she should’ve worn a different shirt.
During the Battle of Gallipoli, a lot of bullets flew. These were two of them. But what makes them so unique is that somehow in the midst of all the chaos, they found each other.
Most of the time, those newsfeed alerts we receive via smartphones help. But in this case, not so much. Yeah, that was unfortunate timing.
42. Dress alike date night…
…or so it seems. But in reality, these two couples don’t know each other. That’s right, they randomly met while on separate dates.
Most dogs love going to the beach, including this one. But it wasn’t until after his owner looked at the photos she’d taken that they discovered something. The white ring around their pup’s neck lined up perfectly with the foam at the edge of the water.
So, here’s the story. This guy’s aunt bought him an outfit for his birthday. But on his special day, he wore that same outfit. If nothing else, he’ll have a backup.
Although these two women look somewhat different and don’t wear their hair in the same way, there’s one obvious similarity. They’re wearing the same clothes while visiting the same business. We love how the one lady looks away pretending not to notice.
