Instructions always have to be specific for them to be fully complied with. However, there are people that no matter how clear or simple you instruct them, the end is not always what you wish for because they just take things too literally. These people are the most frustrating kind to be around with and when you see how literal these people are, I’m pretty sure you’ll feel really exasperated, too!
When the doctor says to eat more greens but you are simply in love with sweets. Sometimes, these people can be smart when they want to get away with something!
2. 120 degrees in the oven
Given the protractor and the carefully positioned tub, we canonly assume how meticulous the person who did this is. But, that’s not what they meant when they said “120 degrees”, man!
Now this is what half a pint of beer actually looks like. That’s literally half the freaking tall glass.
If you accidentally made your phone wet, the remedy we always hear is to put them in rice. Jean told her Dad just that, but he thought to cook the rice with the phone inside! That note is absolutely full of disbelief.
She told her husband to put her in the bed. And so he did. He just put her there straight from the vehicle, car seat and all.
She was almost happy that her boyfriend baked her a sponge cake. Imagine her horror when she found actual sponge underneath all that frosting!
Her husband told her to put a reminder on her phone. They totally had different ideas of what a phone reminder is.
It’s when your mom wants you to step away from all the junk food and asked you to buy just rolls for dinner. This is one clever way to get back at your mom.
At a Chinese restaurant, this guy is having hotpot and thought it would be delicious if he had mushrooms so he ordered some. This is what they served to him.
A guy bought her wife a necklace and to make the gift a bit different, he asked the shop to wrap the gift in a bad way so his wife will be really surprised. They followed his instruction all too well.
These acts are the works of someone who’s just trying to be funny. And we’ve got to admit it, they really are hilarious!

14. Literally just one pepperoni
Someone ordered “one pepperoni pizza”. Sadly, the delivery guy brought this.
We’re pretty sure this is not what he meant when he said “only ketchup”. But in another sense, the fast-food chain did just what he said after all!
Guys out there, please be more careful with what you say to your ladies. May this guy be a lesson to you all.

Ata cooking school, someone told his friend to peel half of the potatoes for her. Can you imagine her horror and laughter after seeing these?

25. Just being a good follower
Handling a package is important so the items don’t get damaged before you can even enjoy them. This guy was just trying to follow the instructions in the box.
Someone was told to not forget putting a tag on that expensive salad. He did exactly that.
Identifying plants is not easy because there are a lot of kinds around. This guy just wanted to know the name of the mysterious plant, but he got what he deserved for being too vague.
28. A sign to attract customers
Now, this is marketing at its lowest. Yes, it attracts people, but mainly because what’s written is pretty foolish.
Putting decorsin corners can be tough, even for designers I suppose. But putting picture frames like these is certainly something I did not think of!
This is the literal dress code. I’m sure she could not wait for someone to ask her about what the dress code is!
What a pointless door that is. Some people really need to think things through before installing anything like this!
32. Photoshop is not mighty
Look, if you are one of those people who thinks you can do everything with a bit of
Photoshop, better wake up. This is not something the application can handle!
Someone has a basement room and when his Dad said to get some natural light, this is what he did. Simply foolish, but still funny!
The person who did this was probably told to put an expiration date on the product. But, they did not really mean the actual product, dude!
Sometimes, a little more explanations the key to understanding when someone is being too literal. And when they finally get it, the silence that follows the embarrassment instantly sets in.
When you don’t know how to handle a cereal bar, there’s no need to worry because “Babe” is always ready to help. She must have been confused and thought all cereals are the same.
Was this son trying to be funny? Or his Mom can learn to be more specific next time?
We’re not really sure if he’s trying to be a clown, or he simply did not understand. Let’s just settle on the former.

Siri can be faulty, too. The instructions are followed too literally at times!

Can you believe how people can be too literal sometimes? They are funny, but they are certainly frustrating. That long list surely made me learn how to be really patient and cool with it. I do hope you did, too.
