They were supposed to have a great night. The parents were supposed to enjoy their date night while their daughter has a fun time with her cousin and friend at their house.

But their night was ruined when two men broke into their house and held the teenagers at gunpoint.

The parents wanted to check on the teenagers while they were out using their Ring camera app. And that was when they saw this horrifying scene.

The three teenagers were lying face down on the floor while two men pointed their rifles at them.

Then they watched one of the men grab one of the teen girls by the hair and led her to another room.

“Get up, get up, let’s go!” the robber shouted at the teen.

At the same time, the teen boy inched closer to the other teen, which the other robber caught. He shouts at him not to move while he points his rifle at the teen’s head.

The other teen girl, the daughter of the homeowners, kept her head down and said ‘oh my god’ over and over.

All of that took place in less than a minute and it was probably the longest minute of their lives.

It was a good thing the Ring camera had a microphone and the parents were able to call out the robbers.

“Hey, who’s in my house?! I got you on camera,” the father yelled using the Ring camera. “The cops are on their way. My neighbors are there… Y’all better get out of my house now.”

Not realizing there was a security camera in the house, the two robbers quickly took the items they looted and ran off. But they did give a final warning to the teenagers to keep their heads down or they will shoot.

The teenagers, terrified they’ll shoot, obeyed and kept their heads down.

The parents and police eventually showed up they learned what happened.

One of the teen girls, the niece, went to the garage to get some clothes. And when she walked into the house, the robbers were already waiting and rushed her inside. And the rest is what they saw on the app.

What they went through was terrifying but thank goodness no one was hurt. But the parents do want the robbers to get caught.

That’s why the mother decided to post the video and what happened on their community’s Facebook page.

“My husband and I were not home and I cannot tell you what I felt seeing this on my ring app in real-time and not being able to help them,” the mother wrote. “I would like these people off the streets so they don’t do this to anyone else.”

Although she had good intentions, this move did upset the Pasadena Police Department and the investigators.

They said there was no direct threat to the community. And the parents did not tell the investigators about the video and they released it online before the investigators could watch it. They said it could complicate the case and even further.

And it can also cause unnecessary panic in the community, which it did when the Pasadena Police Department received numerous phone calls about the home invasion.

The investigation is still ongoing and we do hope the perpetrators get caught.
