The mere thought of being separated from your loved ones is enough to make a person teary. Nowadays though, it’s become more of a reality because of the pandemic. Instead of being able to jump in a car or on a plane to spend time with those you care about – things aren’t so simple.
Olivia Newton-John knows what it’s like to have to stay separated from her daughter. But just recently they were finally reunited, and the video is melting the internet’s heart!
The mother and daughter pair didn’t see each other for over three months.
Olivia resides in California with her husband, while her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, lives in Oregon. Due to restrictions from the coronavirus, the two weren’t able to get together like they wanted to. Instead, they each stayed isolated in their own states.
They found other ways to spend time together.
Most would agree that technology has been a blessing during this difficult time period. It’s helped people stay connected in a world where social distancing is imperative.
Olivia and her daughter used video chat to help with being apart. Back in May, Chloe shared with 9Honey Celebrity that it’s how they planned to enjoy Mother’s Day together.

But while technology has been a lifesaver for keeping loved ones connected – there’s nothing like being able to actually embrace. Chloe told the publication:
“I cannot wait until I can hold her in my arms and squeeze her.”
Chloe and Olivia finally got the chance to reunite in August.
The mom and daughter have always shared a special and close bond. So of course, their reunion was extra-sweet.
During Chloe’s May interview with 9Honey Celebrity, she said:
“My mom means so many things to me. She means absolute understanding and true warmth. As I get older, the well grows deeper. The older you get, the more you come to appreciate your parents. I love learning more and more about her and how similar we are.”

Chloe shared their touching reunion video on Instagram, where it racked up tens of thousands of views in a day.
The Grease star can be seen wearing a mask and waving both of her hands excitedly. All during the video there are even floating pink hearts, which add to the sweetness as well.
The camera then turns and it shows Chloe jogging up.
She’s also wearing a mask, but you can still tell that she’s over the moon seeing her mom in person!
As they finally get close enough to embrace, Chloe plays it smart.
She cutely turns around to keep both of them a little safer – and mom Olivia gives her a bear hug from behind. They both hold tight, enjoying the moment they’d been dreaming about for months.
Chloe captioned the video:
“Finally🥰😃😃😃 🎶reunited and it feels so good🎶 @therealonj”

Being apart from those you love is never easy, but it certainly makes reunions extra-special. Hopefully, there will be more of them soon.
