To keep it long, or go short – that is the question.
Getting a haircut is a wonderful way to feel like a brand new woman. Yet, it can be tough deciding just how dramatic of a cut to get.
If you typically grow your locks out long, there might be part of you that’s ready to take a leap and try a beautiful, short hairdo for once. It might not be the easiest decision, but it could also be the best one you’ve ever made!
A single mom named Olga visited The Makeover Guy’s studio in Minneapolis.
Olga had long, thick hair that she’d worn the same way her entire life. She finally reached a point though where she was ready for a change – and luckily, she had the appearance aficionado, Christopher Hopkins, to make it all happen!
There were two options.
Once Olga sat down for her makeover, Christopher told her, “You could do anything and look great!” He then informed her about the two ideas he had for her hair. Either, she could keep it long and do layers, or cut it all off.
Surely Olga knew she was in amazing hands because her response was,
“I actually just want to leave it up to you.”
The Makeover Guy decided to give the mom a longer, layered cut.
He later explained:
“I was afraid to cut it all off since she’d never worn it short.”
Olga had been ready to start dating again. Let’s just say that after Christopher and his talented team were done with her – there was no doubt the guys would be lining up! With her glamorous hair and makeup, Olga looked like a fabulous new woman.
During her interview, she’s asked, “Do you think you’re dateable now?” Her response? “Oh, yes, for sure!”
Many people who watched the video loved Olga’s transformation. One person commented:
“She was beautiful before the makeover but she went up several notches in vivaciousness, afterwards. She came out looking like a movie star. Any man with eyesight would ask her out!”
That was only Olga’s FIRST makeover…
Although the mom looked absolutely stunning after her visit to see The Makeover Guy, she came to the conclusion that she did indeed want to go for the short haircut. So, she returned to his studio six weeks later.
He was thrilled about getting to give Olga a very short do.
In the video, Christopher has a huge grin on his face while telling her, “I’m so excited, it’s going to be so great on you!” There’s a good chance Olga was still a little nervous about the cut – but hey, she was in the hands of a beauty master.
We get a glimpse of Olga’s long locks being cut off (which is always fun to watch).
Unfortunately, you can’t see the mom’s face while she has her hair cut. Hopefully, she was smiling, and had a freeing feeling with every snip!
In the end, Olga looks just gorgeous with her brand new short hairstyle.
But besides looking great, the mom feels great too! After being asked about it, she responds, “It feels great. It feels awesome, I love it.”
Not everyone who watched the second makeover was crazy about Olga’s short style. However, some really liked the results! One person commented:
“She has the bone structure for this. It’s a strong look like a fashion model. Maybe a lot for her all at once, but I think she looks great. Like Olivia Benson”
Another wrote:
“Love, Love, Love it. It looks hip and sassy with a touch class. I really like this look on her, she has such a pretty face and head shape so it’s very flattering. And let’s talk about easy and quick to care for.”
