Her homemade artichoke dip was so terrible - they couldn't even hide it.😂

Are you the kind of person who tries to make the cook happy when they ask you how the meal was even if it was horrendous, or are you always honest with them?

Well, if you are one of those who always find something positive to say about someone’s cooking, you probably expect to be treated in the same way when you have others try your dishes.

In Leslie Horton’s case of Global News Calgary, things didn’t work out exactly as planned.

You see, a few years ago, she and her co-anchors brought Christmas treats for each other to try on air.

But when it was Horton’s turn, things just went terribly wrong.

The TV host, who has been with Global Calgary for 25 years as of August 2022, brought her favorite Christmas cake for her co-anchors Scott Fee and Jordan Witzel to try on air.

So far so good. I mean, what can possibly go wrong with a Christmas cake, right?

But, as she admitted, she had been super busy that week and she just didn’t have time or feel like preparing something, but her family practically made her cook something of her own.

So, she did a little research and found an easy artichoke dip recipe in hopes that it would be a decent dish to present to her colleagues.

Only, it turned out it wasn’t.

Horton was actually the first to warn them about it.

“This didn’t work out, I’m telling you right now,” Horton told her co-anchors while she was putting some of the dip on a cracker for them to try.

The show meteorologist Jordan Witzel was the first one to try it. He admitted that, at first, it wasn’t all that bad, but then the vinegar hit.

Wait, what? There’s no vinegar, Horton said.

The woman’s co-workers just couldn’t stop laughing at this cooking fail.

Scott Fee also said that the vinegar was the only thing she could actually taste. Now, how funny is that!

Horton couldn’t stop laughing either. She even shared the recipe with them to make them believe there was nothing weird in it.

Then she concluded that maybe the artichokes were off- she just kept laughing at her own cooking fail, while admitting she agreed with her colleague who spit the bit he tried.

He just couldn’t swallow it, he said.

The funny video has gone viral since it was originally uploaded on YouTube.

It has been viewed by more than 18 million people and liked by thousands.

“Her energy is awesome. “Everybody was freaking out! You gotta make something!” So she makes a toxic dump then makes her co-anchors eat it. Legend,” someone commented.

Most users commented she’s amazing because she laughs at her own failed recipe.

To this day, Horton still jokes about the incident. Actually, she’s added it to her Twitter bio.

“TV Host, Mom, cancer warrior… sometimes i make artichoke dip” the bio reads.
