When it comes to wedding traditions, things have changed dramatically. Unlike ceremonies from even 20 years ago when everything was so formal, we now see people getting married inside of barns, dressed up for Halloween, while scuba diving and the list goes on.

Nowadays, a lot of couples want a special wedding day, something that perfectly matches their unique relationship. While not everyone agrees, this is the bride and groom’s decision after all.

“First Look”

This is a prime example of a tradition that’s changed. Until a few years ago, it was considered inappropriate for the groom to see his bride before meeting at the altar. But now, a lot of couples do a special photoshoot whereby the soon-to-be husband gets a peek as his future wife before exchanging “I do’s.”

Feeling nervous

Often, it’s the bride who feels overwhelmed. She’s usually nervous, anxious, and excited all at once. But for one particular wedding, it was the groom who was all tied in knots. For this, the bride chose to do a First Look that would set the tone for the entire wedding.

Alone on a bridge

In a video posted on social media, which has now been viewed more than 4.5 million times, you see this poor guy standing by himself on a bridge. In his hand, he’s holding a large sunflower. But behind him are a couple of people.

Looking away

To ensure this guy wouldn’t see what was coming, he had to face away from the activity. That’s when the video shows a T-rex. Yes, you read that right. Someone dressed up in a huge dinosaur costume appears.

Still in the dark

The groom is still standing there waiting for his big surprise. Unbeknownst to him, the T-rex is now almost directly behind him. The funny thing is that the costume is so big, the individual inside has a hard time walking in it.

Okay, turn around

When given the command, he turns around. That’s when he sees his future bride inside of the T-rex costume. The look on this guy’s face is priceless. It takes a second for him to understand what’s happening. Once he does, he bursts out laughing.

The big embrace

This man doesn’t hesitate to rush to her side, giving her the biggest hug ever. Her silliness is just one of the many things he loves about her. The two of them stand face to face for several seconds while he takes it all in.

The reveal

When watching the video, you can hear the two of them laughing. They’re both having the time of their life. Then, the groom unzips the front of the T-rex costume, helping his future wife out of it. The smiles on their faces are contagious.

This is one happy couple

Although this woman just stepped out of a massive costume and the wind is blowing pretty hard, he looks at her in awe. He tells her she’s gorgeous. That’s when they kiss. If this is the way their marriage is starting out, they’re going to have an amazing life as husband and wife.
