We know it’s important to get along with our neighbors, but sometimes, there are issues that it’s impossible to see eye to eye on.
One couple built an enormous house on their property.
When it came time to pick a paint color, they made the unique choice of purple.
For the couple, it was perfect.
It was inspired by The Painted Ladies, the row of Victorian houses in Alamo Square.
One of their neighbors wasn’t too happy about it though.
The color wasn’t the only thing that irked Brian Juel.
He didn’t like the fact that his neighbor built a house that was bigger than any other in their neighborhood, blocking his waterfront view.
When he couldn’t take it anymore, Brian Juel took matters into his own hands.
Brian decided to get some revenge.
He grabbed his lawn mower and got to work on the plan he’d hatched, which involved a not-so-nice word.
He went out into his field and skillfully mowed the phrase “A-H***”.
To express his strong hatred for the big purple house, he even included an arrow pointing towards it.
The disappointed neighbor thought that the owners of the residence would be the only ones who could see the message.
Boy was he wrong.
He told Inside Edition:
“I made the sign because I thought he could see it from the top floor of his house.”
Apparently, that wasn’t the case.
Thanks to the internet, millions of people have now witnessed his strong message for his neighbor.
Google Earth has picked it up and a screenshot of it has been going viral ever since.
A lot of people found it funny. Others were quite disappointed with his behavior.
One YouTube viewer said:
“If he didn’t want his views of the ocean blocked he should have bought the lot. I think the guy on the mower has envy issues.”
Another one commented:
“I mean if it’s his property he can do what ever he wants😂😂 I’m so confused.”
There was also this person who said:
“If the neighbor worked hard for his money and decided to build a big house then you should be mad at yourself for not being successful enough to buy the land for yourself.”
Brian Juel knows that what he did earned tons of negative comments.
He told Inside Edition:
“I know people want the arrow pointed towards me and I accept that.”
Contrary to what most people think, he knows it’s everyone’s right to build whatever they want.
However, he also pointed out that it could affect others.
As for the sign, it’s not clear if it’s still there. However, the viral photos on the internet aren’t going away anytime soon.
Brian Jules plans to plant a weeping willow tree.
He wants it between the new building and his home. Somehow, he thinks it can help mask the house out of his view.
So, what do you think about Brian’s little slice of revenge?
