However, not everyone shares this festive spirit, as a driver in Kentucky discovered in a rather unforgettable way.
This story revolves around a massive, 9-foot tall snowman, constructed by Cody Lutz, his fiancée Lucy, and her sister.
They chose Cody’s home in Petersburg, Kentucky, as the setting for this winter wonderland adventure, which was the sisters’ first experience of such a significant snowfall.
The trio’s creation was no ordinary snowman.
They ingeniously used a large tree trunk as its base, resulting in a nearly ten-foot-tall figure, complete with a top hat.
This snowman was a neighborhood sensation, bringing smiles and waves from passersby.
Cody shared with CBS News,
“We had a full weekend of sledding, snowball fights… and making the most of the winter wonderland. Of course, that included building a snowman!”
However, not everyone was charmed by this frosty giant.
Cody came home one day to discover tire tracks leading straight to the snowman.
The tracks ended abruptly at its base, revealing the hidden tree stump, now marked with a snowy imprint of a bumper.
The snowman, affectionately dubbed Frosty, remained standing, unfazed by the attempted demolition.
The sturdy tree stump had won the battle against the vehicle, which was likely a 4×4 or all-wheel drive, given the snowy conditions.
Although the driver likely was expecting to plow through the snowman, Frosty had other plans.
This incident was a classic case of “Instant Karma,” as Cody described it.
The driver had underestimated Frosty’s robust foundation.
One can only imagine the driver’s surprise and the condition of their vehicle after such a forceful impact.
