Our teeth have an important function in our lives. It helps us chew and properly digest our food, but also aids us in our speech. Moreover, our teeth are one of the things people see whenever we smile. Losing all of our teeth can affect our health and self-esteem.
Luckily, this mom was given a chance to regain her confidence through an unbelievable teeth makeover.
Most of us take our teeth for granted until something goes wrong. Oftentimes, our parents remind us to brush our teeth after eating, but we’re too lazy to do so. Not brushing our teeth and refusing to eat healthy meals can affect the structure of our teeth.
This can lead to sores, infections, and brittleness.
Losing a tooth is normal, especially when we’re kids. It means that new and permanent ones are growing to replace our baby teeth. Once we grow old, our teeth can no longer be replaced, so we need to take care of them. A regular visit to the dentist is helpful to ensure that your teeth stay strong and healthy.
However, not everyone has the money and time to visit a dentist.
Luckily, Destination Happiness created a program for helping other people with their dental needs. They choose among the pool of applicants and one of the people who were nominated was Angela Kennedy. Through their akes Random Act of Happiness program, Angela Kennedy went through a journey of transformation.
A mother of five
Angela Kennedy is a mother of five who was nominated by her sister-in-law to be the recipient of the $30,000 teeth makeover. Based on Angela’s sister-in-law, she deserved it because she was always taking care of her kids and putting their needs before hers.
Angela was ecstatic about her teeth transformation.
Her teeth were too dilapidated that she was too embarrassed to even get out of the car to watch her son play football. She doesn’t have to worry about people staring at her because this $30,000 teeth transformation will help her out.
Dr. Simon Hinckfuss, a periodontist, will help her out. They first started by checking the implants on her teeth. Then Dr. Chris Hart took over.
They first looked into all the information like the x-ray to get a good idea about Angela’s teeth. By understanding the situation, they can create a solution to all of Angela’s woos. It took a few sessions before she saw the end results.
Finally, with her new set of teeth, Angela is ready for the big reveal.
Prepping her with new clothes and good hair and makeup, she was shocked at her transformation. Dropping the curtains, Angela was happy with her new look. A big smile was on her face as she gazed at her complete and pearly white teeth and fashionable outfit.
“How do you feel?” Angie Hilton asked her.
“I feel amazing,” Angela responded.
Now it’s time to surprise her family, friends, and her dentists!
In the count of three, they all turned around and were amazed at Angela’s transformation. A huge smile was on their face. They even congratulated her.
Angela thanked her family. She was in tears for their help. It wouldn’t have been possible if not for them. See how small acts of kindness can lift a person up?
