Friday Night Frights
It’s not surprising that toddler’s are one of life’s gems. Their adorable faces coupled with their curious gaze melts just about anyone who looks too deeply. Don’t even get started on their irresistible urge to babble any sound to get their point across. A toddler’s mouth is truly riddled with mystery.
One such mystery looked to be taken out of a Stephen King novel when a toddler shocked the world with a peculiar growl. The little one’s name is Aiden James, or AJ for short, and he shows us an interesting trick up his sleeve.
A video recorded by Aj’s mother, Maiken Woll Eide, showed James uttering the words “Mama” in the most occult way possible. His mother described it as, ‘almost demonic’, and boy is she right!
AJ’s tone is the stuff nightmares are made of
You may want to replay that over to double check if it’s real because we sure did! The devilish sound is disturbing enough to create some serious confusion. The father, Julian Brophy, was immediately taken aback when his child became almost seemingly possessed. He busted out in laughter like any regular dad would!
Ms. Eide stated, “We laughed so hard, and he’s still saying “mama” like that.” She also mentioned that AJ is in the experimental stage where he touches, smells, and tastes just about anything. That includes babbling out the first sound he can utter without a thought to consider.
Many people are already hinting at AJ’s potential voice over career. Whatever has him creating that voice now might come in handy when he ages.
On twitter, Neil Delaney mentioned, “Glorious. Watched it a few times to be sure he wasn’t being dubbed.”
A baby’s noise will usually tell you how they want to communicate with you
Sure it isn’t the most pleasant thing to hear, but AJ’s eerie growl may be a sign of him trying to communicate something to us. Maybe he really wanted his lunch? Maybe he was just trying to cover the scent of poo as innocently as possible?
Whatever the case, babies typically make these kind of noises as a reflex like one would when crying. It could be that they even like the feeling they get in throat according to director of speech-language pathology for American Speech-Language Hearing Association, Diane Paul, PH.D.
That’s a bit strange considering that AJ has no semblance of reality at this point. AJ’s happy-go-lucky demeanor is what makes this a truly wholesome video. It’s funny to not even see him flinch at his own sound considering babies are alarmed by everything around them.
One thing is for sure, Mama is never going to get tired of hearing it!
AJ’s creepy voice isn’t going anywhere especially since the recording is now viral with over 3.7 million views on YouTube alone. AJ’s deep register has made headlines everywhere and is getting parents to pay attention to their baby’s voice more when it comes to understanding their wants and needs.
Check out the video of AJ down below, but be warned: it might frighten you!
