Many times acts of kindness go unnoticed. Whether it’s because we’re too busy to see them or people do it without wanting anything in return, acts of kindness happen all around us. A lot of the time the ones giving don’t want anything in return. To them, the most important thing is just helping someone else that needs it.

That’s how one woman felt when she did a kind deed for a stranger.

Helping others

One mother knew just how stressed a lot of people were and she was determined to make a difference. Although she wasn’t rich, she had a huge heart. So, she came up with a plan to donate food.

Paying it forward

It all started when Brandy Blisson worried about her son having a party to celebrate his seventh birthday. Without much money, she wasn’t even sure if she could give him the special day he deserved. But to her surprise, the community pitched in. Not only did they ensure her boy had presents but they also gave him a drive-by parade due to the coronavirus.

Kindness matters

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Brandy wanted to pay it forward. People had been so kind to her and her son that she knew she couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. That’s when she came up with a plan.

Grocery shopping

Using $600 out of her pocket, Brandy purchased enough food to feed eight people. But the coolest part…they were all strangers. As she stated, “With the pandemic and everything and all the election stuff, I just wanted to bring smiles to people’s faces.”

Learning by example

Growing up, Brandy had an amazing mother who taught her some valuable life lessons. One of them was that there was a reward in giving. She went on to say, “We’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. It’s not a good thing when you don’t know where you’re going to get food for your kids.”

It was the right thing to do

When Brandy went to the grocery store so that she could provide food to others, she wasn’t doing it for anyone to notice. She was doing it because it was the right thing. But fate had a completely different viewpoint.

A cashier noticed without her knowing

While going about her business, one observant cashier at the grocery store saw what Brandy was doing. Impressed by her act of kindness, this individual posted her story on social media in anticipation of learning her identity. Once located, Brandy was shocked but also touched.
