If you live somewhere that gets snow, then you understand just how hard it is to get around in the winter.
It can be difficult to compete with the wetness and the cold, but it’s the slippery ice that usually creates the biggest issues.
Whether you are walking or driving, an icy road is tough to navigate.
Canadians are all too familiar with this reality.
According to Tripsavvy, it’s not uncommon for most major cities in Canada to have average winter temperatures that drop well below freezing.
For one Canadian family, just making it to their car in the driveway proved to be a challenge.
Thankfully for us, a woman named Caroline started filming her dad and sister Suzanne when she realized that what was about to take place had the possibility of being hilarious.
She hits record just as her sister slips on the ice in the driveway, holding onto the handle of her car door to keep from going all the way down.
Because the driveway sits on a bit of an angle, her weight is causing her to slide away from where she needs to be.
Suzanne lets go of the handle and falls to the ground.
Dad is there to help and puts the crockpot that he is carrying onto the ground.
He opens the door and tries to place the crockpot in the backseat.
As he does so, the ice gets the best of him, too, and his legs slip out, stretching beneath him.
He is able to catch himself on the car door and father and daughter hang on to each other for stability.
The best part about all of this is that mom is laughing uncontrollably in the background.
And it’s not some gentle and sweet motherly laugh, it’s a full-on roar.
She is hysterical, unable to hold back.
Dad gets everything situated in the backseat while his daughter hangs onto him, unable to get her footing.
She is bent over in half, trying to walk up the driveway, but isn’t going anywhere.
Mom continues her hysterical laughter as dad essentially pulls his daughter up the driveway and into the front seat of her car.
There is a lot of slipping and sliding during the attempt, but she finally makes it in.
Dad shuffles back to the walkway where there is a bit more traction and Suzanne says goodbye before backing up the car.
Of course, mom keeps laughing as the car starts to slide backwards down the driveway.
The daughter tries to turn the wheel and angle to car towards the street, but when she hits the brakes, the wheels just continue to slide.
Mom is loving it.
Finally, the daughter gets out onto the street and drives away.
Let’s just hope that she drives slow on her way home and that her own driveway isn’t as steep and icy as her parents’ was.

“This just made my Christmas…. ice rain storm made my parents driveway a little treacherous for my sister Suzanne, and my dad. Hysterical laughing track provided by mum. Must watch with sound up!! Notes: Car has winter tires, nobody was drunk, her boots are Sorels, and the roads were salted and gritted so driving was perfectly safe.”
