Jill and her family have been living in their home in Knoxville, Tennessee for two years or so and they make lots of videos of their adventures inside.
But there was one feature of the house that they had not noticed until they’d lived there a little over a year.
The shower in the master bathroom was by the window, covered by frosted glass. They thought they were covered literally.
She discovered this when she grabbed the mail and saw that the bathroom window was brighter than usual. And to her disbelief, it looked like her neighbors could see whenever they took a shower.
But she needed to be sure.
Jill asked her husband to go to the shower and pretend to shower. And by golly did that man act up his fake showering skills! One viewer said her husband really understood the assignment he was given. And another one said that he must have grown up watching Home Alone movies.
He really pretended he was taking a real shower. He acted like he was rubbing soap over his torso, then he lifted his arms to rub soap under the arms, and went all the way down. Maybe he figured his wife needed to know the whole story so he was going all out!
Yes, Jill actually did.
Now she knew that when they showered, during the day or at night, her neighbors can see them. Well, not see SEE them but their neighbors will see their silhouettes.
“Everyone was like paranoid for their own home,” Jill shared. “So I guess the moral of the story is if you thought you’re private in your bathroom with your privacy glass or frosted glass, think again!”
Oh and that showering husband? She took a video and posted it on her TikTok account and went viral!
Because of that, they decided to create more funny videos before they covered it up. They did a bit where they pretended it was the hand scene on Titanic. They recreated Uncle Frank’s shower scene on Home Alone. They even did the Psycho shower scene for Halloween.
These were all requests from their followers by the way, which blew up from 30 to about 20k followers, all because they were so impressed with her husband’s showering skills. That video had almost 19 million views.
Jill actually thought the video blew up because of her husband’s “acting skills.” But it was actually the frosted glass window that did it. It turned out most people had that fear of being seen by other people while showering. And that’s legit.
Even Jill and her family don’t want that either.
She’s just glad her children had their own bathroom, away from the road. Although when she did ask her neighbors, they all said they haven’t really noticed the window until they said it.
Or maybe they’re just being polite.
In any case, they’ve already placed a temporary cover before they replaced the frosted glass window.
