There’s nothing stronger or more beautiful than a bond between a parent and their child. It’s an extra bonus when the two are both super talented and can combine their skills to make cool, creative stuff together.
Jordan Rabjohn is a Youtuber who shares videos mostly of him singing different covers of songs like “Beat It” by Michael Jackson, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story, “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, and many more.
As you can probably tell from the types of songs he covers (a lot of them being from Disney), his music is pretty magical!
That would usually be enough for the world to fall in love except it gets even better than that. For a lot of his covers, he enlists his very own mother who is also a singer. At least it’s easy to see where he gets it from!
Jordan has a lot of talent and his mother has a lot of talent… So when you combine the two, you get a purely epic performance. Music to our ears, literally.
The epic family duo recently uploaded a cover that really warmed our hearts. It is a cover of singer-songwriter Andra Day’s “Rise Up” and, spoiler alert, it is fantastic.
“As you may or may not know my Mum is a better singer than me and here’s proof! We wanted to spread some positivity and love during these difficult times so this is our cover of ‘Rise Up’ by Andra Day,” Jordan wrote.
Jordan starts out the performance and let’s just say it’s really great. He does manage to set the bar pretty high for his mother, with his on-point pitch and vocal runs.
But then his mother comes in and she effortlessly raises the bar even more… The two just go back and forth with each other, continuing to raise expectations.
Their voices blend so well together too, with the perfect amount of pureness and grit. We are so in love!
