Carissa and Randy Heaps are beautiful parents of eight kids.

Years before, the couple had moved around, but in the recent years before the pandemic, they returned home to assist Carissa’s aging parents.

Sadly, Carissa’s mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, then her father was also diagnosed with dementia.

This caused her to worry and become busy taking care of her family and parents.

Then, as we all know, the pandemic started, adding another concern for the Heaps family.

Just recently, Carissa faced another sad news when her husband was diagnosed with early-onset dementia and brain tumors.

Because of his health conditions and the pandemic, Randy had to resign.

Now, the family had to travel to Salt Lake City frequently for their medical care.

This wasn’t easy for them since their cars all had over 150,000 miles on them.

Their cars would often break down and aside from that, the cause of the fuel adds to Carissa’s list of worries.

According to Eaton’s research team, the Heaps had always been self-sufficient.

They would always plan and save for their future or unplanned expenses, but it got worse.

That’s why Carissa was one of the most deserving people to receive a gift from Secret Santa.

When Eaton and his team rang the doorbell, it was Randy who opened the door.

He called his wife, Carissa, and she came with a bright smile on her face.

She thought there was someone to help her with the audition, but she laughed as Eaton said that they were there to give her a gift.

Eaton handed her a green gift box.

She called Randy, and they both smiled as they saw the gas cards. Carissa said it would be a great help for them.

“This has been a hard year for everybody, and it has been a hard year for us too. So, thank you. It makes it feel like we’re not forgotten, that we can do this,” said Carissa.

Many people fell in love with Carissa’s words.

She didn’t focus on her hardships, instead, she said that we are all experiencing challenges.
