The 1950s was a formative, historic decade in United States history. The aesthetic lives on to this day.
Despite the times, Laci Fay wakes up every day in 1958.

Seriously, Laci loves the 1950s aesthetic. Her clothes, her hair, and even her house reflect her love for the 50s.

Everything about Laci is vintage! Her husband Dan is in on the vintage fun, too!
They’re such a cute couple. They even have a rad, vintage 1950s car.
Laci and Dan always ride in style. They’re living the modern 50s life to the delight of everyone else. Laci’s noticed that people actually seem to like it when they’re around. She told In The Know:
“People’s reaction – it’s almost always positive.”
The world is Laci’s 50s playground!
The local pharmacy might be the best place in town for a 50s vibe. They even have a vintage jukebox and a soda fountain.
Laci and Dan hang out and order sundaes on Sunday all the time.
Laci believes she found her authentic self the very first time she dressed up in 50s attire.
She hasn’t looked back since.
Laci and Dan even have a 1950s house, literally! They bought their home about three years ago, but it was built in 1953.
As for interior decorating, their goal was to make it look like an actual 1950s home, too. Not a museum.
They captured the essence of 50s living exceptionally well.
Laci’s passion is completely personal. She doesn’t force it on anyone, least of all her son.
Her son Conner can choose what he wants to do. He doesn’t even see it as different anymore.
He actually finds the 50s style kind of cool.
Conner’s learned to appreciate his mom’s cool sense of taste. He even enjoys going to the thrift store with her!
“I wouldn’t really think of it as different anymore.”
A 1950s lifestyle demands a vintage wardrobe.
Laci’s closet is like a blast from the past.
Some of the dresses still seem surprisingly modern. The 1950s aesthetic seems to have aged pretty well.
Laci’s wardrobe is as authentic as it gets. She has tons of pieces from the 1950s.
Laci and Dan have it made in the 1950s shade.
Life’s happy these days, or back in the day… or both. Point is, their modern 1950s life brings them a lot of joy.
They even have 50s appliances, including a vintage refrigerator.
One thing hasn’t changed, that’s for sure. Cookies were huge even in the 1950s!
Where did Laci get her passion for the 1950s?
Well, she absolutely adores her grandparents. They married in 1955. Their life stories are perhaps the biggest influence on her fascination with the decade.
Thanks to them, she found a passion.
“I think everybody’s weird. In their own way, everybody’s nerdy about something, and it might as well be something that you love.”
