It's crazy what they started with and how it ended.

It’s important that we all take care of our neighbors and look after one another.

One family-owned landscaping company is doing just that by taking to YouTube to demonstrate how easy it is to incorporate good acts into everyday business and life. They have a regular habit of helping out people who need some work done on their yard, but may not have the money to pay for it.

One elderly woman they helped had not been living in the house for a year.

She wanted to move back but felt like she couldn’t until the lawn was fixed. She reached out to this duo through a friend and asked if they could help. She didn’t have the money to fix the house on her own.

The house was rife with problems.

The sewer line was in her backyard so everything had to be cleaned out so that contractors could access it. Although this older woman wanted to be living on her own and self-sufficient, she needed a lot of help to get back into the place she called home.

Fortunately, these men offered to help her out for free.

After their initial phone call, the father offered to clean her lawn for free. He said that during their phone call, she broke down and cried from how touched she was.

Part of Top Notch Lawn Care’s business mentality is to also offer free services along with their normal landscaping work.

So while this father and son team regularly does this kind of helpful action, it means everything to the people they help out.

They had a lot of work to do to transform her lawn.

The first step was to mow the yard. The grass and weeds were so overgrown, you could hardly walk through them. At one point, the owner of Top Notch Lawn Care stopped to remark:

“Holy mackerel. This is like mowing down a forest, isn’t it?”

While the father mowed, his son Tyler got to work picking up all the branches and twigs that had fallen onto the ground over the years.

They transformed the property.

And it was all out of the goodness of their hearts.

This family team worked together, mowing, removing sticks, and trimming hedges and trees.

By the end of the first day, they had entirely cleaned up the front lawn, the garage, and the sides of the house.

The video ends with the team promising to come back and continuing to work on her backyard.

This father-son duo has a history of good deeds.

Top-Notch Lawn Care has been working in the landscaping industry for a number of years now.

While they do provide lawn care services at a price, they also regularly go out of their way to help the community.

For a while, one way they gave back was by doing weekly free lawn mows on their Facebook page. They would simply ask their followers to nominate someone they believed deserved free lawn care and then the Top Notch team would make it happen!

Their YouTube page is also filled with videos of different acts of kindness — all related to landscaping.

Prior to helping this elderly woman, Top Notch Lawn Care has also cleaned up the yard of a foster mother with cancer and provided free lawn care for a year for a man with disabilities. It’s safe to say that this team loves to give back, and it’s uplifting to watch them bring joy to so many people.
