It happens to all of us. We’re on the road when all of a sudden we realize something is wrong with our tire. We pull over and quickly realize we have a flat and of course it happens at a time when you really need to be somewhere.
For one woman in Columbia, Tennessee, her flat tire experience was about to turn into something she never expected.
Stranded
Courtney Potts was recently stranded on the side of the road when she realized something was wrong.
Blown out tire
The Tennesee resident was heading somewhere when she took a curve and her tire blew out! Pulling over, she realized she was in trouble. She had her kids with her and leaving them in the car to change a tire wasn’t an option for her. She was going to have to call someone to help her.
Standing on the side of the road, someone saw her and decided to help.
Southern gentleman
With classic southern kindness, a Tennessee stranger pulled their car over to help the stranded woman change out her tire. Courtney was in luck! Little did she know her luck was about to increase even more than she imagined.
The man who pulled over to help got out of his car and was immediately recognizable.
“When he hopped out, his voice, you automatically knew,” said Potts.
Recognized his face
When the stranger stepped out of his large truck, Courtney knew who he was. In combination with his voice, it was clear to Courtney that this wasn’t some stranger who pulled over to help her, it was Luke Bryan!
If you aren’t a country fan, you might not know Luke, but he’s a big deal!
Thomas Luther “Luke” Bryan (born July 17, 1976) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He began his music career writing songs for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington before signing with Capitol Nashville in 2007. He is one of the most successful and awarded country artists of the 2010s and 2020s.
You also may know Luke from a few of his songs: Country Girl (Shake It for Me), Drink a Beer, All My Friends Say, and Crash My Party! Basically, Courtney was with one of the most well-known country artists alive and he was changing her tire!
Shocked and excited
Like many people would, Courtney called her dad when she realized what was happening!
With a quick call to her stepdad, she explained that her tire was being changed by a country superstar. He was impressed, to say the least! If there is one stereotype about the south that is a good thing, it’s that everyone is especially nice. If this doesn’t prove that, nothing will!
Since the event, her Instagram post has gone viral.
Different news stations have picked it up and people are totally loving it. It’s probably due to the fact that seeing a famous person do something GOOD when he doesn’t know he’s being filmed instead of something regrettable is a breath of fresh air for everyone. Since she posted it, over 9k people have left a like on her video!
