Men and woman are extremely different. Yes, we’re both human but when it comes to the way we think and the way our bodies work we couldn’t be more different.
A visit to the lady doc
One man decided to share his own story of his first ever trip to the “female doctor”, or gynecologist to the rest of us, and it’s too hilarious not to watch.
The look on his face
Sitting in his car with his camera out, wearing a serious expression, he began:
“Alright. After all these years of marriage to Martha, I ain’t ever been with her to the female doctor. Until yesterday. Have you ever been?”
The man then explained his initial confusion: he first thought his wife had said she was going to get a Pabst beer.
A pap smear
As all us women will have already guessed, that wasn’t the sort of “Pabst” his wife was referring to. She was obviously heading for a pap smear test, which is used to screen for cervical cancer.
Woman aged 21 to 65 are generally advised to book a smear test once every 3 years. This test is one of the most effective of its kind for detecting cancer, and has saved thousands of lives.
Total confusion
But to this oblivious husband, a pap test was something he knew very little about. He continued on the line of his Pabst Beer thinking:
“I was like, ‘Well, sh*t, drink it baby, have some Blue Ribbon’, that’s what I thought.”
His confusion only continued when another common women’s health term was referred to, “menopause”.
In this instance, the confused husband admitted that he’d thought his wife was giving him a break – a man pause, if you will.
There’s probably no reason to explain what menopause actually means in this article, considering the majority of us, men and women, are familiar with the term. But not this man.
Looking slightly disturbed, he said:
“Well, sh*t, no, that’s not what goes on. We went up there and she put her feet up in that thing, and he pulled out some damn needle-nosed plyers, that long” – indicating with his fingers – “and rooted around down in there.”
More confusion
The poor husband must have wondered what on earth he’d signed up for if his wife had never shared her smear test knowledge with him, assuming, most likely, that he had enough general knowledge to already know.
Continuing his story with a voice of disbelief, he said:
“I thought I was going have to fist-pump or something that b*tch after I passed out. I went out, I needed a pap smear after that. Lord have mercy. I said, ‘Damn, baby, you are tough as nails after going through that. No way I’d have that sh*t done to me.'”
Female health 101
It’s definitely true that women have to go through a lot of discomfort-verging-on-pain in the name of female health – just ask anyone who’s given birth. This husband’s newfound appreciation for his wife is equally adorable and hilarious.
Unfortunately, caring about your body means having to do a lot of things you wouldn’t necessarily sign up to do – despite how much they might disturb men like this guy!
It’s easy for this man to say that he’d never have pap test done if he was a woman, but for so many people, a pap test is the reason why they’re still alive today. They might be unpleasant, but they’re necessary.
If you’re looking for a laugh then you don’t want to miss out on watching this video. This is one doctors appointment her husband will never forget!
