It took 7 years for Chase Knight to know that his wife was hiding something from him.

In one of their drives, he would see his wife in a brand new light but their kids are not really that impressed.
To the married, or an expert about traditions around marriage, they would say that something made of copper or wool is the go-to piece to give another once you celebrate your seventh year of being together. But Chase’s wife had other plans.

Filmed during their car ride through Kansas City, Missouri, Chase Knight’s wife, Jocelyn, 33, flaunted her vocal range as she sang along to “I Don’t Care About You” by Lake Street Dive.

Lake Street Dive’s “I Don’t Care About You” portrays a person’s conflicted feelings after going through a break-up.
The lyrics frame how people tend to run back and forth in convincing themselves why they push through the separation despite all the things they did right.

It may not be the best song to sing to your husband, but Jocelyn still managed to put on a great show for her husband and kids.
As CrossFit trainer Chase Knight drove down the road, he started filming his wife as the song blasted in the car.

Jocelyn did not explain why it took this long for her to share her talents with her husband, but it was pretty clear that Chase was enjoying it right from the start.

He would smile at his wife, who seemed oblivious that she was being filmed, then he would turn to the camera as if to boast his wife’s vocal prowess.
Her reasons for hiding her talent would have been easier to understand if she was singing like a running panicked turkey, but Jocelyn even began growling through her inner Christina Aguilera.

While Chris was struggling to hide his newfound admiration for his wife, he shared that hearing Jocelyn sing is not something he was used to.
She sings quiet lullabies for their kids when they go to sleep, but Chase often wondered how his wife would sound if she really tried to sing.
As the song picks up at the chorus, Chase listened to his wife endearingly as she became more confident to flaunt her hidden talent.
Chase shared that Jocelyn is introverted, and would hide her talents because she fears judgment.
“I told her I don’t really care what anyone thinks because I think she sounds beautiful. I physically could not help myself from grinning so much, it gave me chills to hear her.”
Not everyone is a fan though because as Chase panned the camera to the unforgiving backseat audience, he records their children’s reaction to their mom’s voice.

Chase laughed off the children’s scalding critic.
“Guy, does mommy have a pretty singing voice?”

As for Chase and Jocelyn, they are just out on the road, enjoying the song and the singing.
Hiding your singing voice because you sound like a hoarse wolf howling is understandable, but if your pipes are serving this kind of power, maybe you should be singing much more often.
