There are some people who are so selfless that they would give you the shirt off their back.

And then there are the people who go even beyond that.

Ray Magee of Magnolia, Mississippi is one of those people.

Not only would he give the shirt off of his back but he’d also give the shoes off of his feet.

And his socks… literally.

Magee was riding his tractor when he spotted a homeless man walking nearby.

One of the first things he noticed about the man was how poor the condition of his shoes were.

Without thinking, he hopped right off of his tractor.

He walked over to the man and took off his own shoes so that the man could have them.

He also took off his socks so that the man would be comfortable in his new shoes.

After his exchange with the man, he just got back on his tractor to continue his work while barefoot.

Magee had no idea he was being watched.

But he was. His daughter not only saw the act but she captured the entire thing on video.

“Rolled up on my daddy giving this man the socks and shoes off his feet,” Magee’s daughter Sierra Patterson wrote on Facebook.

“He noticed his shoes flopping while he was on the tractor. That’s why he’s so blessed. What a great man.”

Magee’s other daughter, LaTorria Green Robinson, said she isn’t surprised to see her dad being so selfless on video.

He’s always helping others.

But now he’s helping us to see how we could help others too.

“This brought tears to my eyes. Awesome Uncle Bo,” wrote one commenter. “God gets the Glory out of this.”

“I just saw the guy walking downtown in Magnolia smiling just as big,” said another.

I am in tears watching this. I have NO WORDS except, ‘THE WORLD NEEDS MORE OF THIS!’ Such a great man!!!” another wrote.

Thankfully there are other people in the world like Magee. Joe Arroyo was gifted a pair of sneakers while sitting on a street in lower Manhattan.

A man had been jogging by when he noticed Arroyo’s shoes had holes in them. Something about this sight deeply disturbed the jogger.

So, he stopped right then and there to take off his own shoes, as well as his socks and give them to the Arroyo. That story also ended up going viral.

As a result, Arroyo was put in contact with a man named Andrew Zurica who offered him a job. Zurica was incarcerated for four years before he started his own company and turned his life around.

He started with a food truck and now owns more than three eateries. He invited Arroyo to come and work at one of his stores.

“I was in a hole. I didn’t want anyone to pick me up out of the hole. I needed someone to throw me a ladder and I’d climb out myself. This is a ladder,” Zurica said. “The one thing that makes me happy is to be in a position to give back and help people in some way,” said Andrew.”
