Have you ever encountered a person or otherwordly creature that can’t be explained by science? I bet you did. You see, there is tons of news online about sightseeings of mermaids, UFOs, or ghosts. Most of these creatures were blurrily captured on the phone, while others shared their real stories through words of mouth.
But, what if it was a figure of God in the sky? This is what happened to a man while he was taking photos of the Tyrrhenian sea.
Alfredo Lo Brutto, of Agropoli, Italy, was on cloud nine after capturing a stunning shot of a glowing figure in the sky. The figure was shaped liked Christ the Redeemer with its arms outstretched above the sea.
The photo of the glowing figure had everyone buzzing on social media. It even sparked a debate on whether the figure looked like an angel or Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Lo Brutto captured the image from his home when the sunlight pierced through the clouds during a cloudy day.
Lo Brutto, an artist and a chef, shared that, “‘I was enchanted by the view. I don’t often share pictures on social media, but when I took this one, I instantly felt like I wanted other people to see it because it was so beautiful.’
The post titled “The Christ of light on the sea of Agropoli” gained many viewers online. People from social media commented that it was “a unique and sensational shot” while another said, “it really looks like Jesus, the head, the arms, congratulations”.
Other media reports stated that the glowing figure resembled the statue from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Based on Info Cliento in Italy, the “luminous figure seems human, the classic Christ blessing that we see in many representations… that is attracting the attention of many people.”
It’s not the first time people believed in seeing the image of Christ or the Virgin Mary. There were many apparitions throughout history.
For example, when the Virgin Mary appeared to three children – Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco on May 13. It was said while the children were playing when there was a sudden flash of lightning.
Looking up at the sky, they saw a Lady of dazzling light who told them, “I came to ask you to come here on the thirteenth day of each month for six months at the same time, and then I will return here a seventh time.”
Indeed, on October 13 made her last apparition, and it became widely known as the “Miracle of the Sun”.
Another apparition story was when landslides ravaged a city in Columbia on April 17, 2018. Seventeen people were killed due to landslides caused by heavy rains. However, the crowd’s spirits were uplifted after seeing the shape of Jesus over the sky.
A woman called ‘Marya de Iesus’ on social media recorded a rare phenomenon and shared it online. The caption of the video was, “Jesus Christ was visiting our Colombian town, he calmed down the sky and was listened to. God blesses us and glory to Lord and Universe King.”
Just like Lo Brutto’s image of Christ in Italy, these sightings and apparitions of God are a testament to His saving grace and love for His people. We can see Him not just in these rare apparitions, but we can see Him through our friends and family.
