Many people have gotten makeovers on the Rachael Ray Show over the years, and the results are always impressive.
In this story, a man who hadn’t had his hair cut since he was 18 years old was convinced by his wife to get a makeover in order for his appearance to be in line with his new career.
Wade is a retired man, who is now studying to be a commercial real estate agent. His wife, Tiffany, who also works in the same industry, thought that he needed a change in his look before he started working.
The couple has been married for 13 years, and it seems that, for once, Tiffany is taking control, and gets her husband to change his style.
“Now that [Wade] is retired, he needs something to do,” Tiffany said of her husband. “And I thought, what better way to start your career than with a makeover?”
At the studio, Rachael calls celebrity stylist Carson Kressley for help. Once Kressley sees the man, it seems that he doesn’t know where to start the makeover from.
“My plan is to elevate and upgrade him,” the stylist says. “And I think, this is a transition for [Wade] because [he’s] gonna be starting a new job and work in the real estate, and you guys need to look like you work together,” he explains to Tiffany.
But, besides colleagues, the woman adds that they need to look like they are partners in life, too.
So, at that point, it seems that everyone is ready to see this change.
Rachael then reveals that Wade is going to donate his hair. And, of course, this first cut needs to be done live.
Tiffany takes a ponytail holder and makes a nice ponytail for Carson to cut. Gently, he does cut it, while Wade closes his eyes. This definitely is a major change for him, but he knows it is for the best.
In fact, when Wade looks at the cut ponytail, it is obvious that his heart sinks, but he knows that once the makeover is done, he will be a completely new version of himself.
So, about an hour later, it’s time for Kressley to reveal the new version of Wade.
Once the man enters the studio, the audience cheers for him, and his wife just can’t believe her eyes.
Tiffany goes “Oh my God!”, and she can’t take her eyes off of her handsome husband.
Wade himself looks different. It’s not only about the clothes that have changed from shorts and T-shirt to suit, and from socks and flip-flops to proper shoes, but it’s even the way he enters the studio, it’s as if he’s a new person altogether.
Wade looks several years younger now that his hair is shorter, while he also looks more elegant and sophisticated thanks to his new wardrobe.
Everyone in the studio is excited about Wade’s new look, and his wife more than anyone! It looks like she fell in love with him again!
