This adorable southern boy is Jake Boone. He’s quite the internet sensation, having over 44 thousand followers on YouTube with a total of over 7 million views. Not bad for a country kid!
How did this little guy achieve such fame? Well it all happened by accident.
Jake’s mom, Chrystal Logsdon, narrates how it happened,
“I was making a grocery store list and Jake wanted to help. He picked up a notebook and started asking me what we needed and repeated what I told him. I thought it was so cute so I picked up my phone to video him, I sent the video to my mom who shared it on her Facebook page and with her friends and before I knew it, the video went viral.”
Jake’s grandma encouraged her to send the video to “America’s Funniest Home Videos”,
“I had completely forgotten about it when they called seven months later and said they wanted us to come to California and be on the show! We ended up winning $10,000 but didn’t get the big win of $100,000.”
Jake became a star. And he doesn’t seem to care.
His videos range from the workings of daily life like giving directions, transporting plants, digging a ditch, farm work and more. He’s even got his own truck!
Jake’s southern accent and spontaneous chatter have charmed thousands of people who follow him on social media.
I mean just listen to this exchange between Jake and his mom.
There was a storm the previous night and that darn thing blew Jake’s ball someplace else. Mom doesn’t know where it went and that was enough to upset little Jake.
He goes off on a rant that sounded like him wanting to give the storm a piece of his mind.
In between his little boy talk and his southern drawl, you can literally see the emotions on this irritated little guy’s face, and it’s just so cute!
Well apparently, there’s a group of boys responsible for causing the storm and therefore blowing his ball away. So mom asks him about those boys to which Jake says he doesn’t know but he’s tired of all that.
Mom tries to pacify him by saying the ball was probably blown all the way to his paw paw’s house, and that he should have left it in the garage instead of outside. Can you make out what Jake’s saying?
All of this was happening while he was measuring the back of his pickup truck. A southern boy doesn’t stop for nothing!
Those boys better be ready when they come back though. Jake’s more than willing to confront them with regards to all the trouble they’ve been causing him. You don’t mess with Jake’s ball.
