Start them young.
For Christian families, faith and a close relationship with God is the number one value to pass on to the kids. In fact, open the bible and the one constant theme there is praising God. Amidst hardships, war, infertility, and so on, bible figures constantly chose to raise their hands to the heavens.
Izzy is two in this video and she does not care who sees her.
She looks like she just had her breakfast but that does not matter. Izzy knows what’s more important and this is how she chose to start her day. To the tune of Chris Tomlin‘s “Our God“, the toddler has her eyes closed, uniting her spirit with her Creator.
It’s at the part that goes,
“And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us?
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us?
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
Then what can stand against?”
Izzy’s got both hands up, eyes closed, pouring out her little heart in praise and adoration.
This is praising in it’s purest form. Even in the bible, people would sing or chant with their focus on God. It’s not a Sunday-only activity.
When you ask Christians what they feel while they’re praising God, answers will vary but will always lead to them being in awe of the power, majesty, and glory of their Maker. Pretty much the same in the bible.
Makes you wonder who else little Izzy listens to.
Chris Tomlin is one of the biggest names in American contemporary Christian music. His songs are played and used in most churches. Even local church bands like to play his songs.
He was fourteen when he wrote his first worship song. Chris learned to lead worship in his youth group. The man from Texas graduated with a degree in psychology but it was clear that Christian music was his calling.
Tomlin participated and led in many Christian groups he encountered before releasing his first few songs in the mid to late nineties. You never know, little Izzy may very well be on her way as the next Christian artist. That would be great!
Izzy loves her Creator!
Mom has been recording her this whole time and she had to call Izzy twice to bring her back down to earth. The toddler’s adorable face breaks into a pretty smile as she looks at her mom but after a few seconds, she turns back to the music, closing her eyes and continuing her worship.
Such faith and reverence. Even the Bible calls us to be like little children.
Imagine Izzy now attending church with her family where she gets to sing and praise with an entire congregation. There are church groups for children and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if she got involved with the music ministry. Izzy has a gift and it looks like she wants to use that gift to bring people closer to God.
