If you grew up and never had your very own lemonade stand, you certainly missed out! A little powdered mix, a plastic container, some cups, and a table meant you were about to have yourself a great time. Did you make your money back by the end of it? Probably not. Still, it was the experience that mattered most, right?
One heartwarming moment at a lemonade stand shows a formative memory for three kids in Louisiana.
Chloe and Milo are siblings who decided to start their very own lemonade stand with their friend, Carly. They did everything right, from the supplies to the signage, they were set! Unfortunately, the day was a slow one because the weather turned sour (pun intended), and nobody came to buy anything from them.
Nearing the end of their patience (20 minutes), a man came up and decided to buy some lemonade from the kids.
Finally, after having a really slow start, Malik Cornish walked up and bought the company’s first drink! Ordering a lemonade, he sipped and looked over the artwork that was also for sale on the table. Chloe had decided to draw some dragons and was selling those precious pieces, too. Incredibly, Malik decided to buy one of her drawings as well!
Little did Malik know, the girl’s mom was outside recording and putting the entire exchange on TikTok!
Melissa Sylvester, the mom of Chloe and Milo, was watching the whole thing go down. In her words:
“I had never met Malik before and was like, who is this angel? Like, he bought everything they were selling and he was smiling and interested and the kids were just on cloud nine after the interaction. I mean they literally came running inside with the money screaming “LOOK, LOOK”! – CBS Mornings
Posting the video on TikTok, Melissa had no idea that things were about to blow up!
Soon, Malik was receiving a ton of notifications on his phone as people he knew saw the video.
Friends and strangers reached out online and told Malik just how cute it was that he had helped the girls out. Incredibly, the viral video allowed him to connect with Melissa and the girls again, only this time it was a bit more personal.
Deciding to meet up, Malik went over and spent some time with the family. The girls had their own way of saying thanks!
Once Malik was there, Chloe decided to commission a “super special” drawing for the one and only Malik. The photo? A dragon drinking lemonade. You better believe that these kids are going to be outside selling lemonade every chance they get this summer!
