These two little ones are on fire!

Salsa is not an easy dance. It demands precise footwork, a lot of flexibility, and a decent sense of rhythm. Most importantly, you have to trust your dance partner and be on the same page as them with each beat.

These kids though? They make it look easy.

Seeming no older than 6-years old during this video, it’s nothing short of mind-boggling how good these two are. With confidence levels soaring through the roof, the girl’s calm, collected, and determined aura throughout the whole thing is unreal.

Her dance partner is far from the shy kind too. His tiny, 1st grader frame might show through those suspenders and a long-sleeved shirt, but his dancing is miles beyond 1st grader expectations.

Just 30 seconds in and their hip-shaking game is already on point. Hesitation? Never heard of it.

Not a single word is spoken by either of them, but their faces and movements just scream “Watch and learn”.

With the dance floor all to him, the boy goes to town with his footwork and popping. Every move he makes is smooth, precise, and shows nothing but raw skill.

Watching a few feet from him, his partner takes to making faces and shaking to the beat. A bit of subtle cheering on and support in the form of dance.

A dance like salsa takes at least a few years to become proficient..

Grown-ups might pick up the basics and learn it in a couple of months, but only consistent practice can give you the smooth and precise dance moves you want.

So for being (what looks to be) 6 years old, the sheer skill from these two is worth all the attention it’s getting. Most of us can barely keep it together for school plays at this age.

Every other contestant is watching from all directions. They’re probably enjoying the show, while also realizing that they got showed up by some kids. Hey, it’s a competition. This is part of what you signed up for, right?

Hold that thought, because these two aren’t done yet.

With a fabulous end to that first bit, they barely savor the applause before moving on to the next routine. You know, just to remind you that they really are better than you.

Onto the chairs they go, and with a bit of acting with the napkins as an opener. Then, the girl is off once more.

Every single second she tears up the stage is a showcase of her confidence. There’s not even the tiniest bit of hesitation or unsureness. It’s like confidence itself has manifested into a person.

You could say she isn’t simply confident. She’s proud. There’s no way to know how long she spent practicing her dancing, but she’s clearly proud of how good she is and makes sure that it shows.

Or maybe she wants everyone to see how good her hair and makeup looks. I don’t know.

When her boy gets back up to join her, it’s time to kick things into overdrive. The faster track blasts through the air, and the two of them start going off. Their dancing from before was impressive enough, but cranking it up to roughly twice as fast truly shows how well these two know their craft.

Though most good things must come to an end. Wrapping it up, they get a warm, much-deserved applause.

Then the boy takes a much-needed breather and lies down for a bit. It’s all fine, he earned it.
