She was sent away from the hospital to undergo “treatment” for her illness. After a few days, the family was told that the baby died.

They believed the story for 25 long years.

The result revealed that her heritage was linked to Israel, India, and other parts of Europe. With the help of a friend, they shared the results to a group on Facebook that helps adopted Romanian children get reunited with their family members.

It took 48 hours for Belle to find her biological family.

She reached out to a non-profit organization called Operation Underground Railroad. The group works hard to reunite victims of child trafficking with their biological families.

The group reached out to an investigator in Romania.

A DNA match was confirmed between Belle and a family in Romania. The result made her feel nervous and excited at the same time.

Along with the group’s founder, Belle went to Foggia, Italy.

Everyone was in tears as they witnessed the reunion. There were tears of overwhelming happiness.

Belle didn’t forget about the family who raised her.

She said to her biological family:

“There are a lot of words that I want to say and I want to introduce you to my friend and my family.”

For Belle, her story is nothing short of a miracle.

She said:

“I was literally taken from my parents and taught a whole different life. I still don’t know how to thank the Lord for bringing us back together. How did he make that happen? It was such a miracle… “

Belle plans on going back to college in America.

She plans on studying horse therapy, business, and health. Apart from studying, she also hopes to get her biological family to travel and visit her in Washington County, Utah. As a victim of human trafficking, she also plans on advocating against human trafficking.

The organization that helped Belle is actively working to fight the problem related to human trafficking.

They work closely with law enforcement in 24 different countries. For the last 6 years, they have been able to help arrest more than 1,700 people. In the process, they were able to help save 3,200 victims.

Tim Ballard, OUR’s founder, was deeply touched by the reunion. According to him:

“It was extremely emotional – one of the most amazing moments since I started here at OUR.”

He also added:

“There was so much joy and so many different feelings for each person from Belle to each of her family from Romania.”

Belle’s reunion with her family is truly heartwarming. It’s something that should inspire us to be more active in helping victims of human trafficking.
