In recent times, it feels like our television heroes have been letting us down. It’s a part of life and getting older, but the reality is that people are human (crazy, right?) and we can’t put people on pedestals.
Still, despite that harsh reality, there are a few famous people who REFUSE to do something that looks bad! Among the biggest contenders for “actually good people who happen to be actors” is Jack Black.
As a recent story shows, he intends to hold onto that title.
Jack Black recently did something for a 15-year-old and warmed hearts around the world.
One of Jack Black’s most famous movies is School of Rock, a film that everybody and their mother adores. Among the fans of School of Rock is Abraham. Sadly, Abraham has been diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disease known as Pearson syndrome. To make matters worse, Abraham is only 15 years old.
Jack and Abraham met at a fundraiser, and there was an immediate connection.
The event, the TrinityKids Care fundraiser, was the perfect meeting place for the two. Abraham has been a fan of Jack Black for some time, and his mother decided to organize something special.
During their time at the fundraiser, she arranged for Jack to come and say hello. Only the actor did more than that – he sang the teen a song too!
When they met, Jack Black serenaded Abraham with the School of Rock song “In the End of Time”.
Jack and Abraham met, and after a few seconds, Jack Black got down and broke into song! For Abraham, it was one of the best days of his life.

Meeting your heroes as a kid is something you never forget. As far as heroes go, Jack Black is among the best!
During the song, someone started recording. As you can imagine, it soon went viral!
Once it was posted, people all over the world started commenting. The moment was so heartwarming and silly that you can’t help but feel good! If there is one thing that Jack Black is good at, it’s making you feel like a little kid again.

Jack Black has been a part of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation for some time, and his song brought awareness to the fundraiser. Who knows how much it impacted the funding and subsequent research? Using your fame to bring awareness to wider issues? Another point to Mr. Black!
