Christmas is the season of giving!
We all know that receiving a gift is great, but giving one feels even better, especially when the gift is for someone who really needs it.
For one woman in Idaho, a Secret Santa didn’t just get a gift, she was given hope again.
East Idaho News is a news station that does a Secret Santa every year, only to the NEXT level.
“The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.” – EIN
Most gift exchanges have like a $10-$20 limit, but this group is going a bit bigger.
A mystery man came forward and told the news station that he wanted to donate a million dollars to people in need in East Idaho.
So far, it’s been a beautiful sight as people get surprised with gifts that radically change their lives.
Next on Santas list, this year is a woman named Jacqueline and nobody is more deserving.
Jacqueline has had a rough 2021 – much rougher than most.
Things initially looked on the up, however. It all began when she found out that she was going to have her baby.
Her husband, Gage, was ecstatic and ready to add a cute new member to the family!
Gage was a hard worker and worked in the North Dakota oil fields for a living.
When he heard his wife was ready to have the baby, he came home and went with her to the hospital.
This was their third baby so it wasn’t a new process for them!
Jacqueline delivered the baby and everything was great, although Gage wasn’t feeling well.
Heading home, he just said he needed some rest. That night Gage passed away, leaving Jacqueline without a husband and three kids to look after mere hours after giving birth.
While nothing can ever replace her husband, it doesn’t hurt to have some help when you need it.
The mysterious Secret Santa decided to do something incredible.
A news crew pulled up with an SUV piled high with goodies.
They had a check to pay off the family car, an additional $10,000 check, and hundreds and hundreds of diapers piled in the back of the car!
For a new mother and grieving widow, this was going to change her life.
Pulling up to the door, the family met them at the front.
After some polite conversation, it was time to open the gifts.
It’s safe to say that Jacqueline was soon in tears. Opening two checks back to back was an emotional moment for everyone.
For the news crew, the only thing left to do was to take the boxes of diapers inside.
Life will never be the same for Jacqueline, but at least she has some room to breathe now.
As the quote says, “Grief never gets smaller, we just grow bigger.” In the spirit of Christmas, this was a life-changing gift from a Secret Santa!
