It’s easy to get caught up in life from time to time, and when that happens, caring for your physical appearance may be the last thing on your mind. Not taking care of your image can lead to negative feelings about yourself, such as low self-esteem, critical thoughts and a lack of confidence.
Thoughts such as, “I’m not good enough,” and “I look horrible” might begin to cross your mind, and when that happens, something needs to be done.
The saying, “beauty comes from within” is something which we firmly stand by. But there’s no denying the fact that the whole world loves a makeover!
Of course, the best thing you can do for yourself is present yourself in exactly the way that makes you feel good, whether that’s by having gorgeously long Rapunzel hair, or deciding that there’s never an age limit for mini skirts (there isn’t!)
But if the one thing that makes you happy is letting someone paint your face in glamorous makeup and having your hair refreshed into a gorgeous new style, then one of Christopher Hopkins’ makeovers may be perfect for you.
Christopher is an entrepreneur, entertainer, cyber-star, author, and appearance aficionado who is known as MAKEOVERGUY on YouTube.
Today’s makeover contestant is Katrina Axford from Byron, Minnesota. Katrina has a pale complexion and wavy brown hair, and wants to inject a bit of wow into her appearance. Her only fear is that her shoulder-length hair will be given the chop, with Katrina saying,
“Maybe I’ll have short hair, but if he thinks that I’ll look good with short hair then we’ll go with it.”
When she is first handed the mirror after her makeover, Katrina is in complete shock. Her once-pale skin is now golden and glowy, her skin is smooth, and she has on some gorgeous, long, black lashes. Her hair has been straightened and styled into some youthful bangs which really change the whole shape of her face!
Katrina stares at herself and seems to be absolutely speechless, before managing to say,
“Wow, it doesn’t even look like me. I’m happy.”
But our favorite part of the video has to be when her husband walks in.
He does an obvious double-take, before walking over and giving her a kiss on the lips, “Oh my God, you look amazing! I didn’t even recognize you,” he says. “You look great!”
Katrina explained that she had told her husband that she wanted a makeover, so he had bought her one for Mother’s Day. Husbands, take note!
Aside from that, Katrina still seems to be lost for words. She can’t stop looking at herself in the mirror, and you can see from her smile just how happy she is about her new look.
“You did the impossible and made her speechless,” her husband quips.
