Have you ever seen a bunch of high school kids pack themselves like sardines into every nook and cranny in your house (outside of regular party season)?

Apparently, neither had Joy McGrath, the principal of St. Andrews School in Middleton, Delaware.

That is until she suddenly found herself gatecrashing a surprise slumber party taking place in her own kitchen!

Thankfully she was wearing a bathrobe at the time otherwise this could have turned into a very awkward NSFW situation.

But, not any more awkward than inadvertently exposing her students to the unfashionably bright yellow Crocs she was sporting on her feet.

“How did I not hear you?” she tells the room.

She is obviously well-loved by her students, otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone to all the effort of pulling off the well-coordinated stunt.

“Mrs. McGrath takes such good care of us,” KaiChun “Austin” Chuang told TODAY.

“Whenever people have a problem, they feel comfortable talking to her. She works hard to build trust.”

The senior class decided to repay that trust with the best practical joke of the year.

In the now-viral video clip, the headmistress can be seen opening the door to her kitchen, where she spots a teenage boy camped out on the floor.

She quickly slinks backward and slams the door shut, but not before we catch a glimpse of utter confusion on her face!

It takes her a moment to realize what was going on – she had just been Punk’d.

After taking a few seconds to gather her wits (and probably tighten the belt on her bathrobe), she confidently swings the door open again.

This time she peeks around the corner, where she finds the graduating class of 2023 eagerly staring back at her.

In her best 6 a.m. morning voice she cheerfully exclaims, “Good morning, little bunnies!”

And like little baby bunnies after a fruitful breeding season, there were tons more warm bodies to be found everywhere!

As the camera pans up, you can see sleepy kids either wrapped up in blankets on the floor or popping up out of the woodwork.

Chuang, who recorded the prank on his smartphone, said that his classmates dreamed up the idea after their senior prom.

“Mrs. McGrath invited all of us over for breakfast at like 12 a.m.,” Chuang recalled.

“Someone joked that they wouldn’t mind going to bed right there in the living room. Then a couple of us glanced at each other like, ‘hmmm.'”

Instead of going home, they decided to sleep over for the night.

Of course, all of this went off without a hitch thanks to McGrath’s husband, Ty Jones, who was more than happy to be complicit in the lighthearted gag.

He purposely left the front door unlocked so the teens could sneak back inside the house after 1 a.m.

“I was in shock. They were in every possible corner like sardines,” McGrath said.

As for her own senior prank when she graduated from St. Andrews in 1992, it seems that old habits die hard.

“I slept through that one, too!” she said.
