Speaking of fabric, how do you turn a pair of tights into an optical illusion?
With just a pair of red tights and a pair of black tights, it’s possible to create an optical illusion that can even have a little razzle-dazzle.
But this illusion doesn’t have so much to do with what (or who) the tights are on, but what the wearers do with them. A troupe of young lads wears a pair of red tights between two of them to one side, and a pair of black tights with the partner on the other side. You know what, you just need to see it to understand.

If you think looking at an image of them all lined up with their shared tights is mind-melty enough, just wait till you see them moving. They cleverly keep the tights up with suspenders, and watching them all shimmy sideways onto the stage is quite funny in and of itself. But if you think that’s as interesting as it gets, you are very mistaken.
So when they do begin to move, it’s quite the spectacle!
When they step forward and back, crossing one leg over the other, your brain truly does flip. As your mind scrambles to make sense of what you’re looking at, they seem to be having the times of their lives. Talk about dancing with two left feet, it’s hard to even tell which feet are which!
And when they lift their legs, it’s another trippy illusion.
Are they levitating? Are they hanging from the other’s shoulders? Nope, that’s just the effect of this bizarre mash-up of dance and illusion. While it’s clear that some of these lads are not natural dancers, they are obviously all very clever to pull this off.
This looks like a lot of fun – if you can pull it off.
