When you are a famous movie star, you can sometimes just show up to places you haven’t been invited to, and chances are it will all turn out okay.

Of course, this is highly dependent on what you are famous for.

Even if you are super famous it doesn’t necessarily mean everyone will recognize you.

You could be a gigantic movie star and still, not everyone will have seen your films.

That’s what one famous actor found out when he decided to crash a live weather report.

Anything can happen on live TV

Lauren Phillips was doing a weather report for Weekend Today when a rather friendly and handsome gentleman came strolling through the shot.

It’s live TV, these kinds of things can happen.

What made this interaction a little different is how helpful the handsome, young man was being.

Movie star helps out reporter on live broadcast

Phillips decided to just roll with what was happening live on-air and asked the movie star if he could help her present the weather. The man was happy to oblige.

Studio anchors are shocked

As the movie star is reading off the weather report, the camera cuts back to the studio where it is clear that the anchors are very aware of who the man is.

Reporter Rebecca Maddern was shown with her mouth wide open in amazement at what she is witnessing.

Maddern’s face might go down as one of the best “shocked faces” in television history.

Richard Wilkins was definitely surprised, but perhaps not as excited with the developments.

A very chipper weather report

The movie star continued to read off the weather for cities in his native Australia.

Phillips acts as though the man is just some stranger who walked through the shot, but it seems likely she is in on the joke.

She probably wouldn’t let just anyone walk up and read the weather live on television.

Does the weather call for Thunder??

The weather was fairly decent that day which is almost too bad. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might enjoy this particular actor calling for thunder.

Some MCU fans even refer to this man as “The God of Thunder.”

Don’t forget about Hobart!

The movie star forgot to read off the weather for Hobart, Australia, leaving the two anchors in the studio quite unimpressed.

They joked that Chris had no skills and would not be invited back for future broadcasts.

Something tells me that they would actually jump at the opportunity to have him return, however.

“Did that just happen?” the show’s co-host Rebecca Maddern said after the segment. “He just read the weather on ‘Weekend Today.’ My year made!”
