Sometimes when people see really nice things they don’t entirely know how to act. Take luxury cars, for example. Even those of us who don’t really care about cars tend to stare when something impressive goes by.
And sometimes, men go to embarrassing lengths to impress women.
Recently, a video emerged of a guy in a parking lot trying to use a car as a prop to impress passersby.
And she flawlessly turned the tables on him, giving the rest of us a good laugh.
The man stood in a parking lot for a while in front of a sweet Lamborghini. And for a while, he stood outside it listening to music and just admiring the craftsmanship of the Lambo.
Little did he know, the actual owner of the car was watching him and saw that there was someone lurking outside the car, pretending that it was his own.
As soon as the owner of the car saw what was going on, she wanted to get outside and try to confront the guy.
But she didn’t seem to want to confront him angrily. More likely, she was looking to just turn things around on him, and gain the upper hand.
She walked into the parking lot then started asking him questions to see if he would claim the car was his. Apparently, he did. And that’s where he went wrong.
Guys, do you know how much better it would be in this situation to just say “I was admiring this hot car – I’ve always wanted one”? It’s a conversation started – and it doesn’t get you in any embarrassing situations.
But in this case, when it became obvious that this guy would lie about the car as long as he could, SHE took out her keys unlocked the car, and got in.
Denied!
And while she went out to talk to the man, her friend caught the encounter on camera.
Filming from far away, the camera zooms in on the two people talking to each other. You can’t hear the conversation but it’s easy to imagine the awkward tension of the moment.
The video was later edited to have a snippet of the Kanye West song “Mercy” that begins with the lyrics “Lamborghini mercy.” The friend who filmed the video then posted it on TikTok and immediately amassed 570.6 thousand likes.
The video of the creator summarized the conversation.
The TikTokker who posted the video narrated what was going on. She says that the woman initiated the conversation in which her friend asked “Is this ur lambo? What year is it?
“‘Is this ur lambo’ ‘ya’ ‘what year is it’ ‘this year’ *boopboop*”
With more context, it becomes even more clear that the guy was going to run with the lie.
It’s unclear how long he was standing in front of the car before the owner of the vehicle showed up, but he was definitely using it as an opportunity to flex.
Rather than being honest and saying that it wasn’t his car, or saying that he was admiring the car, he went out of his way to pretend that he owned such a nice car.
Can we all just accept that starting off with a lie is a bad way to flirt?
The owner of the car definitely got the upper hand in this instance.
We love that she turned around to her friend as if to say “haha, sucker!”
The man pretending the car was his was bold to do so, but she was also pretty bold to take matters into her own hands.
Her choice to confront him and reveal herself as the real owner of the car created instant comedy – and hopefully a lesson to men everywhere. She surely taught him a lesson to not take credit for other people’s things!
