Ellie’s drawing of fans also stems from a television advertisement in which she appeared during the holiday season. She modeled for a Nike print advertisement focused on the Women’s World Cup last summer.

Laura Johnson with Zebedee said that only 0.01 to 0.01 percent of people featured in fashion and beauty advertising have a disability.

“This is only one or two models in 10,000! Brands can no longer say that the ‘public doesn’t want to see’ disabled models, as this Insta post proves otherwise!”

The leader at Zebedee said it’s critical that more and more clients incorporate people of all abilities in their advertisements and campaigns to represent society as a whole.

“Inclusion of all people in the industry is so important, not only because it the right thing to do ethically, but also makes good business sense.”

Laura complimented Ellie on how easy she is to work with and how she’s the perfect representative for disabled models.

“Ellie is such a wonderful person inside and out. She lights up the room when she walks in and is such a professional. This means the world to her, her family and the wider community. We really hope that all brands take note and including disabled models now becomes the norm.’”
