Flower girls draw a lot of awww moments during weddings. Their primary role is to look cute and absolutely adorable in their pretty little dress as they sprinkle petals down the aisle. That’s it. That’s all they need to do.
Easy to be the darling. Remember though that it’s a kid we’re talking about. If you’re thinking, “What could possibly go wrong?” well then you really don’t know children. Pay attention.
Flower duties.
This pretty little lady was chosen to be the celebrated flower girl for this wedding. Now naturally, there are organizers and coordinators to help get the wedding ceremony moving smoothly. Easy enough, right?
Well enter the jitters. Imagine being a child and having to walk down a beautiful aisle in front of all those people all while having to scatter those petals. Oh and remember not to trip or mess up. See?
Make an entrance!
Well she doesn’t seem to want to walk anymore! The lady behind her, who could very well be the coordinator, whispers something in the little girl’s ear and gives her a tiny push to get her walking. Nope!
As if on cue, the piano starts playing a lovely tune which honestly, would go really well with this pretty young girl. All she needs to do now is walk.
Go for it!
The lady guides and almost shoves the flower girl down the aisle but the child looks back with a cute smile on her face and runs back to the door. The wedding guests are chuckling now at the funny commercial going on.
Give her a break!
The woman tries to get this adorable princess to walk down the aisle but it’s a groomsman who comes for her. He grabs her hand, whispers in her ear and together, walk down the aisle.
A few more steps now and they’re done. The groomsman takes over flower girl duties, grabbing a handful of petals and scattering them on the aisle. It’s so cute even the guests are laughing now.
It’s a perfect ice breaker of sorts. All the others who were stiff, shy, or nervous got to relax and let loose after this little girl’s antics.
They made it!
Once they get to the front, the groom and his buddies, the bridesmaids and pastor are all smiles. The flower girl is led to the side by her dashing groomsman, who in turn gives the groom a friendly slap on the butt as if to say, I got you.
Don’t forget to smile!
The whole time this hilarious episode was going on, cameras were clicking away, capturing every single moment. It is a wedding after all! Those photos are priceless. The moment gave everyone a reason to laugh and smile, and those photos will serve as a reminder of a time when a flower girl gave family and guests a reason to have fun.
Whoever that groomsman was, he definitely created a memorable and adorably moment. So being a flower girl isn’t so easy after all. But it was well worth it.
