You might be thinking, if you’ve seen one wedding dance, you’ve seen them all – but we’re about to show you – that is certainly not the case.
Maurice Anderson is a bit of a YouTube star with thousands of followers but his number one fan is most certainly his new wife – especially after the dance he planned for their wedding day.
In a viral video that has garnered over 1.8 million views, Maurice not only left a life-long-lasting impression on his wife but on the entire world as well. When you watch the video below – you’ll know why.
Maurice uploaded and shared the video on his YouTube channel in July of 2018 and he’s been racking up views ever since.
Along with his video, Maurice included the caption:
“I surprised my wife with a groomsmen dance which included some of our favorite songs. No one except the DJ knew that this was going to happen! It was an amazing day and I hope you enjoy it!”
The video first starts out with Maurice dancing in front of his new bride to the popular and well-known song “The Joker” by the Steve Miller Band. What makes it even better right off the bat is that his name really is Maurice (as stated in the lyrics of the song!).
After a brief slow dance to Steve Miller Band, the music changes to Bruno Mars’ ’24K Magic”.
As soon as the Bruno Mars song comes out, the groom slyly moves over to the side of the dance floor to invite one of his groomsmen onto the floor with him. Without missing a beat, the groomsman slides right into the choreography. A couple of seconds later, another groomsman joins the groom on the floor for the adorably choreographed routine.
In perfect timing and rhythm, the groom and his close friends dance in front of the bride as she watches on with a giant smile. Each dance move goes perfectly with every changing song – and each song was hand-selected by the groom himself because they had a special meaning for the couple.
After a brief dance to “Poison” by Bell Biv DeVoe, Maurice goes back into another Bruno Mars hit.
Within just 10 seconds into the song, the music changes again to ‘Candy Rain’ by Soul 4 Real and you can just tell the bride is ecstatic about all of her new husband’s touching song choices. Next up? “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison. The groom and his groomsmen line up and smoothly move while showing the bride that she’s the star of the show.
Of course, with the early 2000’s theme that the groom has planned out, no choreographed dance routine would be complete without “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan.
The groom and his friends bust out some popular moves to the song “Flipmode” by Fabolous, Velous and Chris Brown next.
Each song lasts about 5 to 10 seconds before it changes into something else – each time, giving the bride an even bigger smile on her face. Of course, the choreography wouldn’t be complete without some Sugarhill Gang singing “Jump On It”! The guys have got their moves completely nailed down.
