We all love weddings! The mood. The feels. The vibes! It is a perfect day to celebrate life and love.
If it were our wedding, we always want to make it memorable. We plan things out to make sure it is as we imagined and everything looks perfect—no room for “surprises” that might ruin it all.
But what if that surprise is the cherry on top? A brand new car or house as a gift, perhaps? Or what if… as a surprise visit? This couple in England just had one in the form of a gatecrasher.
Never gatecrash a wedding.
Yes, we were told that because that is just rude. You are going to add a burden to the couple. But if the couple bumped into you on the wedding day and invited you in, how could you say ‘no’?
Even if you are not dressed for the occasion, you would want to go. “Who would do such a thing?” you might ask. Well, maybe Keanu Reeves.
Why we love Keanu
Keanu Reeves is one of the well-loved celebrities, and who wouldn’t?! He is down-to-earth and takes time for his fans.
We love how he bought an ice cream so he could sign the receipt and give it to a fan or his grander gesture of secretly donating to children’s hospitals. There’s a long list of reasons why we love him, and gatecrashing this couple’s wedding is an excellent addition to that list.
Mr. & Mrs. Roadnight feat. Mr. Reeves
James and Nikki Roadnight tied the knot in the most idyllic view at the Fawsley Hall at Northamptonshire. It was as Nikki wanted it until somebody crashed their reception. It was Keanu Reeves!
Mrs. Roadnight shared a few photos they took with Keanu and told the story about this random but awesome surprise on her Twitter account.
It turned out that Keanu was staying in the same hotel in U.K. James went to the hotel bar after the wedding ceremony and saw Keanu there just before the reception. He casually invited him to surprise her wife.
And boy, was she surprised! Keanu arrived at the venue an hour after that reception, took photos with the couple, and even talked to the guests. Isn’t he an overall awesome person?

Nikki was ecstatic that she changed her profile photo to a photo of her and Keanu – not her husband! A Twitter user pointed it out, but Nikki replied in good humor: “Mr. Roadnight won’t mind just for a few days.”
