What would you think if you saw an 11-year old child driving a car like a pro? No, this didn’t happen in a Hollywood movie, but in a residential neighborhood in Indianapolis.
Although, many might try to condemn what has happened, saying that a child so young shouldn’t be behind a steering wheel as it would be as dangerous for the child as the rest of the civilians.

Yet, in this case, the young boy who was able to drive a Mercedes-Benz all the way to the hospital did it for the noblest of reasons.
Meet the 11-year-old PJ Brewer-Laye, a lovely boy really interested in everything that got wheels. Back in September, he was playing around his Indianapolis neighborhood while his grandma Angela Brewer-Laye was exercising and keeping an eye on him.

Out of the blue, Angela started feeling really uncomfortable, apparently, she suffered a low blood pressure spell and she was ready to faint.
At that moment, PJ was cruising in his favorite go-kart around the neighborhood when he noticed his grandma’s episode, when he saw his grandmother leaning over a stop sign, he understood that something was terribly wrong.

The young boy immediately rushed into action!
He drove his go-kart back home, retrieved his grandmother’s glucose tabs and some peanut butter crackers, and went directly to the garage.

Little PJ took his grandmother’s Mercedes Benz car and drove it where she was.
“I saw my Mercedes-Benz coming towards me,” she told 11Alive.
PJ pulled over slowly where his grandmother was and after helping her get in the car, he drove them all the way to the hospital. His driving was really calm and mature.

“PJ was cool and collected behind the wheels” confessed Angela. “He drove like a pro.”
It’s really incredible to see such a young boy have such a fast and “collected” reaction to an emergency, and the fact that he knew to take with him the glucose tabs and the crackers, shows how intelligent he was.

According to Angela, JP knew how to drive that well because her husband had asked him on multiple occasions to move cars in their yard, but he was never allowed to drive in the street nor alone.
After the video of PJ was published on YouTube, many people rushed to congratulate him and praise his driving skills.

One wrote, ” lol this kid can drive better than the majority of people I see on the road”, while another said, “I’m more impressed by him thinking fast to grab the glucose tests and peanut butter crackers to help out with her ride to the hospital.”

It’s not the first time that we have seen young children act so bravely and smartly in order to save their loved ones. Five years ago, another video went viral with more than 15 million views, when a three-year-old girl called the authorities when her pregnant mom fell down the stairs.
Therefore, we shouldn’t underestimate the kids’ intelligence nor their ability to help out!
